@ Zhenmichan: thanks for posting up some rock, haha. The only two bands I really know and like from Japan are Maximum the Hormone and Dir en Grey. I'm about to take a look at what you posted now. EDIT lol, and one of the bands you happened to put up ended up being Maximum the Hormone. haha. I can't say I was turned into a fan of the second one, though...the girl's voice was a bit flat, the guitars' tone was a bit off, and the rapper...yeah. -____-;; That's just my opinion on them, though. EDIT That Hirano Aya is very chill, though. Their guitarist seems to try a bit too hard, but still...good energy in that song you posted. (: EDIT God, I'm editing this for the third time now, but I thought I'd join in the sharing... Here is "Obscure" by Dir en Grey...it's not for the weak of heart, though...it kinda tries a bit too hard to be macabre, dark and shocking, but it has its moments that are pretty well thought out: This is "Believe" by Nami Tamaki. I have no idea why I like this song...by all rights and precedents, I should despise it, or at the very least find no interest in it. However, after it was used by Gundam Seed as one of their intro songs, I kind of took a liking to it. | ||

nevergg, who is the artist in the last video you posted? I like her voice...reminiscent of some of the more avante-garde western pop music out there. - It's all Salyu - she became famous doing the soundtrack for the film 'All About Lily Chou Chou' - he work is more commercial these days, but she's still got a gorgeous voice | ||

"Inner Universe" - Origa/Yoko Kanno This is a fun song...it was used as the intro song for Ghost in the Shell's first season. Origa provides vocals, who is apparently a native Russian singer who has a career in Japan, I believe. Origa's actual work is a bit mediocre, but she has an absolutely gorgeous voice, and Yoko Kanno really brought it out. (Yoko Kanno is also the writer of the Cowboy Bebop soundtrack, including "Tank!". (: ). | ||
