The first step is to understand all the technical basics such as exposure, dof, aperture, shutter speed, interlacing etc... All this can be googled, and you really need to understand all this "boring" stuff before even considering making "artistic" shots. Once you got that solid foundation, get a camcorder and a video editor like Adobe Premiere and just practice practice practice. As far as camcorders go, I think HDV is still the way to go, and most all semi-pro camcorders are HDV anyway. Depending on your budget i'd reccomend the Canon HV30 and XH-A1. Sonys are good too. Things to look out for on cheaper consumer camcorders are manual controls, zebra, and a stereo mic input. good luck! | ||
