Backstory: So I have a quad core computer, and I found that I have to change the processor affinity of starcraft in the task manager to just be on CPU 0 (uncheck 1 2 and 3) or starcraft will freeze and crash.
So I forgot to do this today and I was PvPing.
I just started a new account so I was basically messing with this D kid. He went 1 gate gas so I went 1 gate pylon and proceeded to manner pylon blocking off 3 of his probes.
Through my micro and his lack of it my early zealots killed most of his probes, so I had a huge lead and I fast expanded.
I teched to templars + shuttle off of two bases while he was still on one base. I got to his base and stormed getting over 30 probe kills right as his last ditch attack gets to my base WHEN MY COMPUTER FREEZES

Aw, must've hurt lol. I've been in the same situation, almost. I was raping this guy and I thought I played good for once, without that many mistakes and suddenly the power cut ...

brutal at least your computer has a reason for crashing mine will intermittently shut down during games of dota ><

A few days ago my computer overheated during an iccup game and reset. So I unplugged everything unnecessary and disabled the second monitor. Then it overheated again when I tried to play another game, so I got a vacuum cleaner and sucked the dust out of the case and fans.
That seemed to fix it, but it's annoying that I have to clean it out regularly (leaving the case on just makes it overheat).

Are you sure the problem is overheating and not something else?
I don't have overheating problems because I built my own water cooling rig + case (actually built the case from scratch):

Well what else would cause a computer to reset when the case is on, but not when it's off?
Nice cooling you got there.

At least it looks cool. How much money and work did it cost?

LOL at that case. jesus that's overboard.

lol those containers at the right look like some sci-fi contraptions from any b-movie.

holy shit...that's something beyond a computer..it's a beast O.o gimme it please?

Lol guys thanks. And yeah it could be a bit overboard but I like it
Took me a ton of work as I made the case from scratch. The panels are 2'x2'x0.25" acrylic panels. The work that needed to be done on them was drilling holes around the edges for bolts to go through to fasten them to the metal bars. Also, big circular holes had to be cut with a hole saw to allow air passage for the fans. Small holes had to also be drilled in various placed to allow other bolts like the fan fastening bolts through. The last work that had to be done on them was cutting big square holes for things like the back I/O panel of the motherboard/etc. This was hardest to do as I didn't have any tools that worked well at this task so I was forced to use an angle grinder for the job.
Then the metal beams you see in the corners started out as 6' long steel (not stainless T_T was too poor) angle stock with 1 inch leg length. I had to cut it down to 2 foot long segments, miter the edges, and drill holes all around to put the bolts through. Dealing with this was a fucking bitch. It was summer when I built it so it was really hot outside and working on this shit was really strenuous and overheating. A couple of times some people told me I should have gone with aluminum since it would be softer and easier to work with, but now that I'm done I'm glad I went with steel since it's really sturdy and strong.
Weighs a fucking shitload though. You can't see in the picture but on the bottom I have cool ball casters so I can move it in any direction ^_^
Edit: Oh yeah I almost forgot, the part I'm most proud of in terms of how clean and professionally I did it was the motherboard brace. I had an extra panel of acrylic that I cut into the general size of a motherboard, and then I had to drill holes in it to have bolts go through to the motherboard, and I used nuts to hold the motherboard in place about an inch away from the brace itself, which I think worked out really nicely and looks really cool.

the computer looks like pylon emitting psi energy lol

LOL It looks even glowier with the UV cathodes I hadn't added when I took that picture ages ago

Why didn't you let me and Zack put fake aliens in the tubes.....
And lulz. I like how you left out the part about putting all of the work off until the last minute and pulling off like 2 all nighters to finish it, ^.^

That case looks amazing- Although at a 2' by 2' cube, I don't think that I could manage to fit it inside of my room xD
