I just downloaded the entire Heifetz Collection (took about five days). However, each CD is encoded as a .flac file, so I have to convert like fifty thousand files to .mp3. And, the entire CD is condensed in a single hour-long track. Anyways, is it possible to manually split the CD so I can get the songs on separate tracks? If so, how?

You could get a program like Audacity or something that would let you split the file into different tracks. There are eve really simple ones that are free that you can get on Cnet. That's really weird that they would set up files like that though, I've never heard of something like that before.

Convert the flacs to mp3 and the cut the mp3 into songs...

Plenty of software to do this, just google or take someone's suggestion.

For converting, not sure, but audacity should work fine for the splicing.....
