How M.A.S.H. chars could and should have died

{CC}StealthBlue United States41117 Posts October 18 2008 01:02 GMT #1 Some of the characters in the series have started to piss me off, so much that I have to change the channel even when it's a favorite episode of mine. And wish the writers could have turn this into a gritty down to earth war series. The series became famous for killing off Colonel Blake but these characters should have been killed off due to annoyance. First death: Radar O'Reilly Type of death: Killed by a sniper while helping get wounded off a chopper. Second death: Maxwell Q. Klinger Type of death: Wounded during a mortar barrage while at an aid station. Leg was blown off and died due to blood loss while en route to the camp. Third death: Colonel Sherman T. Potter Type of death: Heart failure. Non-combat. Fourth Death: Major Frank Burns Type of death: Motor vehicle accident. While driving a jeep back to the compound he swerved to avoid a Korean family and drove off into a ravine, was killed on impact. Fifth Death: Type of death: Suicide. Known for being very by the book the toll of war got to her and after a failed marriage her mind became unstable thus she put a gun in her mouth while the doctors were occupied with incoming wounded.

This is neither here nor there though since you obviously missed the point of MASH. I would only agree on Klinger since he really never did anything but comic reliefe, which Alan Alda pwnt on as Hawkeye. Hawkeye is like one of my favorite characters of all time, such a multi faceted dude.
