Well it's official, in the Eastern standard time zone I'm officially 24 years old.
I must say, it's pretty underwhelming. Once you reach 21, birthdays are actually kind of boring, nothing all that special happens. When I turn 25, I'll be able to pay less for my car insurance, though I'm an infrequent driver so my rate is pretty low anyways. Beyond this, there's nothing really all that exciting, primarily depressing birthdays until I get old enough for social security.
Now that I'm 24, it really brings into perspective a couple of things. I'm pretty much at the peak of my athletic prowess, and more or less it's all downhill from here. BRILLIANT.
Birthday plans: go into lab and do lab work, I have a birthday dinner planned with a small group of friends, and after that I'll probably hang out with a couple and watch a movie. My girlfriend is currently in Minnesota and will be there until next weekend, so it'll be a somewhat lonely night spent doing work (ugh) in my apartment. It's sad, but I'm getting too old to go out and hit the bars. Even 1 hardcore night at the bars takes a full day of sleep and rest to fully recover.
Either way, should be a relaxing birthday. The next in a line of non-interesting and pretty much uneventful birthdays until 65 ><

Do something crazy and extreme on your birthday, to keep it interesting.
For instance. Go and buy a whole bunch of WIRE COAT HANGERS. Then go into the forest and set them gently on top of adorable forest creatures.
Oodles of fun.

Consider a relaxing night out on the town strolling along the streets to live jazz in the background.
Maybe go stargazing or something.

Murder someone. For the thrill, y'kno.

time to get married and have kids.
25 < x is OLD

Think you should just enjoy it and think optimistic, better than being 30+ right?

30 is the new 20 no worries.
My 24 is coming up tbh...

Gay. You make everything gay. Gay in a sense of "not fun" in this context(if that made any sense...).
Do stuff. Cheat on your girlfriend, sell weed, smoke weed, sell drugs(weed isn't a drug XP), stare at a wall(if that gets you off). Your birthday shouldn't be the day you pretend to be more excited throughout the day than all the other days(if you're that pessimistic/emo(not saying that you are)), so, go out and do things or pretend its your birthday everyday and live everyday like a party(like me)!
Or don't...

first part is tempting, second not so possible since i live in a big city and prolly won't see a star until i go home home

midlife crisis time imo, quit your job and go buy a vette or something.

i hate birthdays, they are a good reminder that im getting closer and closer to being dead. best just to ignore them and try to squeeze out as much fun out of every possible day regardless of it being a birthday, christmas, etc

Grats on your DING ^^
Is 24 internationally known as a gay number or is it just a brazilian thing? We call it 12x2, for heterosexual reasons. Glad I'm 25 ^^

First off, happy birthday. But secondly; you are completely and utterly wrong.
It doesn't matter, work, relationship, family, whatever;; you can make time for a night out on the town. It doesn't have to be the EXACT day o your birthday, but close to it.
Either way, party or not, happy birthday dude.
