Aw I was really hoping lilsusie would have picked better questions. The SC2 one was good, but there have been plenty of interviews asking about his ID, and there have been a couple asking about why he chose terran as well -_-
Now she asked who he thought was best. I guess no one else has asked that, tho it doesn't really seem like that big of a deal. Oh well maybe other people will find his pick more interesting.
Ah now the final question. Which game he remembers the most. That's pretty interesting at least :D
Hahaha when he said thank you that was really cute
Okay after hearing the ending I guess it wasn't too bad, still I feel like the middle two questions could have been used so much better

It doesn't matter. He's Boxer, we just want to hear him speak.

I know what you mean, but it must have been insulting for boxer to be asked questions he's already been asked a million times before.
When he thinks of the foreign fanbase he'll probably just think "oh yeah they're a bunch of noobs didn't even look up my previous interviews before asking 50% of their questions as the same thing that's been answered already.
Heheheheh I wish she'd gotten him to say "I love teamliquid dot net"
That'd've been sick
|
Don't see how that's insulting when celebrities pretty much only answer the same like 5-10 questions in almost every interview they do. I'm sure he has a lot more on his mind than "omg foreigners ask the same questions I answered 2 years ago" anyhow.

I would've liked to see some more insightful questions too, but you gotta keep in mind that not everyone on the stream is a die hard progaming fanatic. There are some people who don't know what manner pylon is.
Anyway, we'll probably see a better interview after Boxer stomps Hero right?

It would have been nice to have questions on those games. To just get a peek into the brilliance that is Boxer would have been wonderful.

I really don't think Boxer has any idea about how much information has been translated for the foreign community, so he probably didn't mind being asked questions like that for foreigners.
Also, the game he was describing was against [DaK]JoyO on Paradoxxx in the MyCube OSL. Just saying.
|
It does not surprise me at all that you know that, haha.
I'm grateful for any interview with Boxer really! Call me a fanboy but he is the Emperor, after all.

Thanks for that info, I was wondering

Here is the golden question Susie should have asked him: Why do you think the excitement levels of today's games are lower than in years past?
|
WHO CARES HIS GAMES WERE AMAZING
|
Guys, don't be too hard on the questions. The problem was that the questions had to be approved by some army dude before the interview took place. (God knows why.. ). So there was a little bit of a rush in preparing the questions.
I wanted to ask how Boxer thought he was going to retrain up to match the younger skilled players like Jaedong and Flash who have raised the skill level so high. For some reason it was vetted out..
It was fucking awesome being there live. The atmosphere for the Boxer games was electric...

Starts after the second game.
I enjoyed the interview, only one thing, in starcraft we say clan not guild :p Too much world of warcraft I think.

Oh my susie I can't even imagine you near mantoss.
Edit: Mainly because I can't imagine myself around mantoss: it would probably result in some girly screams
Edit2: and arm hugging.

Ah okay good to hear. I thought you'd have better judgement than that

I thought the questions were fine O_o;; I don't know what you guys want out of a 3 minute interview...
|
I agree with Chill...
And wtf after those EPIC GAMES YOU DARE TO BEG FOR MORE!?!?!?

On October 03 2008 06:15 Chill wrote: I thought the questions were fine O_o;; I don't know what you guys want out of a 3 minute interview... You joking? I could think of 1000 better questions in a one minute array and I'm sure most others here could as well. Even a very basic and simple one like "what do you think about the last game" would've been 10x more insightful than anything that was asked. I realize it was not Susie's fault, she was great the whole night, but the interview was mind-bogglingly suck.
Oh well, I'll agree games were awesome indeed and that by far overshadow the interview ^^
I can picture myself 50 years from now talking to my grandchildren. "hi grandpa, our history teacher told us to do this essay about this legendary Boxer game" "oh sit down here, I'll tell you everything, I watched that game LIVE" "woooow really??? grandpa that's amazing!!!!"

I don't think the questions were the problem (although, anyone that's read http://boxerbiography.blogspot.com/ knows the answers to most of them), I think we just wanted to see more of him in action. It's been so long and his games are still so great. It's really refreshing. I'll be watching sunday for sure =D.

actually, in korea they call them guilds, not clans for starcraft. so when he said guild in korean, i just translated it as that since it's the same word

the interview was good minus that most of the questions were already answered before, if not all of them. it's unfortunate that you couldn't ask your own questions, or we couldn't ask questions. boxer didn't look like he was trying to rush anything, even though others were trying to hurry it up, or so it looked.
the games were great, and I'm sure everyone would have wanted to hear about how he prepared and why he chose his strategies, I hope you get the chance to do a longer interview in the future, perhaps after he wins the tournament.

You just spoiled the game results for me. Thanks.

If you hadn't watched the recent boxer game yet, why on earth would you go in and read a blog about THE RECENT BOXER INTERVIEW????

They always interview the winner. So Boxer interview = he wins.
But w/e I guess it's unavoidable anyway. I understand that it must be a lot of excitement and you can't exactly spoiler a thread title like that. It's cool.

There are millions of Boxer interviews around that are not related to any game whatsoever. A topic titled "boxer interview" could be the same thing. You spoiled yourself because you wanted to, 100% your fault. Tell us, you couldn't resist could you? I know how you feel!
