Germany was fucked after WW1, no money because the Allied forces (was that what they were called? It's been so long since I've recalled this) forced them to pay for reparations. Basically German economy inflates through the roof to the point bills are used for wallpaper in people's houses and everybody starves. Hitler comes to power, says that he believes Germans are totally pro and deserve better. Blames jews and Germany becomes crazy military power and then WW2.

Make sure you talk about the economic state of the nation as well. Hitler's rise to power wouldn't have been possible without the huge inflation.
