I'm 16 years old. My dream is either to become a progamer or somehow work with e-sports. All these interviews with artosis and tasteless and stuff really makes me sad because it sounds so much fun. Like the clip with tasteless, rekrul and lilsusie at a starcraft match when they get on camera and hide their faces, haha. I wish I was there too.

I'm so looking forward to when I turn 18. I'll take a year off or something and travel to Korea, maybe even move there and study, who knows? The worst thing is that I won't be 18 when my hero Boxer will be back in progaming again.

How did you feel about turning 18? Did you have any dreams that you was looking forward to? Damn I need to stop writing, gotta practice some SC!

Moving to a foreign country because a game you like is popular there.

Not lame at all.

Not to discourage you but thats not likely to happen. Its a huge investment with little chance of success if you ask me.

I just find that logic really, really hurting. Some people go traveling and that isn't a bad idea if:

A ) You have the funds
B ) You are going to go back to school when your finished

If your just traveling then go for it, otherwise I think your just making excuses (ex. I am here to study, it just so happens to be the place where Starcraft is also most popular, Zomgz!) to hide your real reason for being there.

If I gotta study, it's a bad idea to study in the country I want? Like why would it be any difference in Sweden where I live? (maybe Korea doesn't got good universitys I don't know really, but I'll find out)

Uhm, yeah, I mean that I'm looking forward to it but it feels just so far away.

Can't imagine myself in Korea actually as I have never been outside Sweden except for Denmark which is a neighbour country.

I turned 18 4 days ago. Really, it's not that different. At least not for me.
Life's still the same as it was when I was 17.

when i was 14, i figured, I'd get to A rank PGT/ICCUP get semi-known and go to korea, play the courage tournaments and win. Now I'm 18, and I'm at best C+/B- in div. 2 of WGTCL. I'm no where near where I expected to be, and I wanted to spend my summer in Korea going to pro games, etc... I figured I needed $12k so I got 2 jobs, and started playing poker. Made up to $9k and put it into the bank.

I hope to some day go to Korea, but as a pro gamer? not anymore. I figured out I'd rather go with the flow, get a college education, and do a semester abroad in Korea or something which I still can do.

He wouldn't be moving for the game he would be moving for his dream you dumbass. Some peoples dream is go to a foreign country and pick up shit for a living, but I am sure whatever you have thought up is better than that so that person would surely adapt to your dream immediately right?

Fucking dumbass. You could at least put him down in a more articulated way which would then serve to at least give a good reason why he shouldn't go, but I doubt you can think of any. Your probably just jealous since he has a dream and knows what it is, you dream of not envying people like him anymore cause you have no clue what to do. Seriously man why bother posting such a futile attempt at deterring someone from their goal.
