i wake up and notice no fucking korean terran will be going to wcg 2008 and im pissed off as hell. at least last year we had one of the best progamers of all time, hwasin, going but for some fucking reason there is none this year. flash should've gone to enlighten us, the stupid newbie terrans here at home, with replays where he owns top foreign stars. but some other noob just pwned him, or he didn't give a literal fuck about it and gg no re.

you check and see that there are 9 zergs, 8 protosses and 4 terrans going for wcg 2008 and think <<what the hell?>> this is just bs, we will be seeing a crapload of mass mirror games or ZvPs that's it! and im sure those terrans (ChinaTTT, ArenaRaiden (Colombia), M1-JohnRambo, and HoRRoR) as good as they are, and as much as i admire them, will get knocked down real ez by those imba players.

fellow terrans i give you my respect, because even though this is such a demanding race you all decided to stick to it through both the good and bad times. having to apply three totally different strategies for each mu and having to perfect them is something worth of recognition, as a misclick happens and all your rines will die to lurkers with no detection or all your tanks dying to goons without siege.

having to select every scv to put it to work and remembering to send it back to mine once it has finished when zergs can mass produce overlords and protosses building 6 pylons in less than 2 seconds with 1 probe.

im not saying any race is harder than the other as i am a zerg player but im saying that the terran's style is just something that not many are willing to deal with it and thus we have a shortage of good foreign T players.

but, sometimes when I play against terrans and i kill them with 12 lurkers and 3 groups of lings after a devastating mutalisk harrass and seeing the guy humbly typing gg and leaving breaks my heart.

yet i know that through perseverance he will be back, much stronger than before.

Fellow Terrans, UNITE!

That does suck that there aren't any korean terrans in WCG this year though, but still at least we've been graced with the likes of Boxer, Xellos and iloveoov in the past

Foreigners who like Terran, generally also just play random cause they like the game in general.

Lots of people get bored playing turret defence every game though, so they like to switch it up. Every time you play an aggressive early game, you'll be accused of cheese. If you play every game where the first 10 minutes is FE and buildup and defend harass, you can get tired of that fast.

I think the scariest thing for new Terran players, is that any noob can steal gas or muta harass to a pretty high degree of effectiveness, so it's easier just to play the other races to not deal with that shit when you're starting out... Thus many people's main races are not Terran.

Flash didn't make this years WCG because he practiced for GOMTV instead. It didn't pay off, but that's why =/ We've had plenty of Korean Terrans tearing up WCG over the years, I'm not that disappointed in this years turnout.

Or he will exit the game in tears, and then get steam rolled by a lesser skilled protoss on macromeda and exit program for life .

I think this is the 1st time ever that korea didn't send a terren to WCG. :O

I blame most of this on ForGG. 1st he broke Flash in the MSL, then beat hwasin in the WCG, and then couldn't put it together to beat stork. And I always pity those who can't beat stork.

But yeah, not many stellar Terran in korea ATM :\

Terrans have been dominating the professional scene for years. Just for this one event, no Korean terran goes to WCG and you making an entire thread about it shows how often we see Terran players in the upper level.

And a misclick of movement with the goons or a few second delay will melt your goon army with heavy rigged tank splash damage. And not burrowing those lurkers in a matter of few seconds, those m&m tear through those unburrowed lurkers

Last time I checked, at least Terran still could keep the SCV after using it to build something. The Drone, worth actually more than 50 minerals if combine the mining time, is lost forever within the construction of the building.

Shortage of good foreign T players? Terran race too demanding for some players? Look at the pro gaming scene, I think there are too many Terrans and too few Zergs

I never played anything else than terran.

I find the funniest race to play and watch. Terrans unitrs are either devastating (hahaha, you can't do anything against my 15 tanks/8 cloacked wraith/16 dropped mm) either ridiculously weak (ooops theses 8 zealots/6 hydralisk/2 lurkers killed everybody while I was building another depot).

I think also that Terran is waaaay harder to play than Zerg and especially Toss at low level. I sometimes get pwned by 70 apm Toss while I play at 180. I know that no 70 apm ran pwns 180 toss.

Well, now, if you look at pro-gamers today, the proportion of terrans is huge, means that they also have the best potential. Amongst the 5 best player ever you have a least 3 terrans: Boxer, Nada and Oov.

The problem is that Terran tends to be as good, or better than the other races at an incredibly high level. I would say that except for A+ and S class players, terran are just inferiors at a same level.

Build and before it starts building shift right click a mineral and it will queue up the mining action after it finishes building.
What fun is it being cool if you can’t wear a sombrero?
