By chibi porn I mean animated / CGI or otherwise simulated, which is still illegal some places but some not.

I brought up rape, because there can be consent between similarly aged homosexuals having sex with each other, or even dissimilarly aged ones so long as they're both above the age of consent.

In the U.S., that would be 18. Obviously an 18 year old can consent to sex. I've heard of it being as low as 14 in some places, which is kind of redic IMO but it's the law, and I guess if they consent they consent.

However, pedophilia is the love of children, which I personally assume to mean children who have not started puberty (maybe 4 - 12 years old). I brought up rape because I take pedophilia to mean "the desire to have sex with children."

I don't think an adult and a child of this age can engage in consensual sex, because

1) Children at that age probably have an imperfect understanding of sex
2) They can be pressured into it but it can cause psychological damage
3) Their bodies are not meant for it and it can cause physical damage

So the point is, saying things like "There is nothing wrong with pedophilia" or "pedophilia is equivalent to homosexuality" is entirely wrong in my opinion because pedophilic acts will invariably hurt someone in some way, while homosexuality does not.

However, if you are affected by pedophilic thoughts, then thinking them doesn't hurt people, so in that respect I agree that it is not "particularly" bad, though certainly weird in my opinion.

So bottom line, I brought up rape because there is no way for a pedophile to engage in their love with another person unless it is rape, while for a homo- it is. Maybe an adult could dress up like a kid, wear braces and glasses, and have an ugly hair cut with bangs. I guess that would work and be OK to, though probably less preferable to a pedophile.
