I could write something huge here but I think saying "Life is the suck" says it all.
EDIT - The story eh?
Well for the last few months she has been exceedingly busy and we haven't been able to see each other much. So last night I got an e-mail from her saying the words "I have to talk to you" and meet me during my lunch break at 12pm. So since I don't want to believe this I load up her facebook and her personal message says "is wondering how to do it". So my fate is pretty much sealed. I couldn't get to sleep and was pretty much lying there wondering why I had agreed to meet her then. I had a University lab at that time that I was missing to see her. It's moving aside the the things you have to do just so you can go get yourself hurt.
So at 12pm she walks out of the library and I we give each other an awkward smile. She asks me about my day, the Olympics and pretty much everything else but eventually she tells me "Last night when you asked me to go see Bill Bailey with you I only told you half of why I said no...I don't see this going anywhere and I don't want to be called your girlfriend." So I'm sitting there beside the lovely girl I adore and out come those words. I'm crushed, I can't believe something so brutal could come from such a sweet voice. She also told me she stills wants to see me and offered to give me a lift home from a friends party. This brings up more problems since I very sure she still feels how I feel...It's like a middle ground, we aren't friends but we aren't lovers and I see every time we meet as being the most awkward as fuck experience.
EDIT #2 - Called my ex. The before this one and she's cheered me right up, shes so full of win.

Edit: Oh, I'm sorry i didn't give you my sympathies and consolations. Here's something generic that most people will say, "there's more fishes in the sea". To tell you the truth you never really gave me a story where I would care about you. It's like saying, "I just lost my wallet down the street" then expecting compassion for something that nobody [i]really[/] cares.

I virus does seem like a pretty good idea atm KlaCkoN.
I'm not much the forget about my problems type, I've been singing Que Sera Sera sadly and that'll probably tide me through my 3 hour lecture on basic Java tomorrow.

Few people are very "good" at immediately forgetting their problems in my experience, it's just generally the best thing to do =P And girls ahh... the world would be a better place without them wouldn't it.

Can you engineer the virus to do that? I've never been a fan of forgetting, I've always figured take a little bit of the best you had and keep it forever.

I've never been much into biochem, but it doesn't seem impossible. Like if you make the virus (or whatever) require certain molecules bound to its surface in order to become active (or survive). Meaning it would take a certain concentration of those molecules in order to make the virus harmful.
Problem beeing that calculating with concentrations in living cells is extremly difficult. + You would have to build the virus in the first place.
(obviously the "molecule" in this case would be something that is present in higher concentration in females than males, for example female sex hormone.)

Singlehood is just a different season in life. Breaking up with someone you care about stings, but it will get easier every day, and then you can begin appreciating singlehood. It may take some effort on your part, but it is worthwhile. Learn to see as a strength what seemed like a weakness.
And, of course, this is all just a stepping stone towards someone you'll be happier with. Although, you don't know, perhaps you are going to be happier alone, and if so, then this pain right now is a stepping stone to happiness in greater solitude.

happened to me, broke up after 2 years, then we somehow started seeing each other and sleeping together almost every night again.
one argue and then we agreed not to see again, she called after a week and then same thing happened. not officially together but still act like girlfriend and boyfriend. then we had another argue while we were drunk, then we didn't see again in a week and she called me again.. last night. she wanted me to stay with her for the night and cuddle. don't know what happens now.
shit i shouldn't have answered becouse if this same shit keeps going on I'll never be happy.
I either wan't to be with her boyfriend and show my love fully to her, or then try to get over it and try to find something new to my life.
It's been over a half year since we broke up and we've had this strange relationship that I don't know what it means. I feel contantly miserable, yet I wouldn't wan't to just disappear becouse I still love her the most and she also loves me..

I hear your pain. Just got out of an 18 month relationship and now we're trying the whole 'lets be friends.' We're possibly getting lunch sometime this week which should be quite enthralling and entertaining to say the least.
