-People against abortion. Isn't it ironic how most of the people against abortion are people who are never gonna have to worry about it anyways?
-Instant messaging. Holy fuck talk about meaningless communication. Sometimes I'd rather just e-mail people instead of getting two line responses ending in "lol". I'm usually against formal things like letter writing, but it sure beats the hell out of its polar opposite.
-Anime. I don't mind the artistic intentions of the authors, but really what bugs me about anime is that it creates a shitty sub-culture of obsessive nerds. I've never seen any form of media/entertainment create such a socially-hopeless fan base.
-Internet gaming "communities". Kind of ironic because technically I'm apart of one. But let's be honest, a lot of people try to make up for their failures in the real world by seeking acceptance on the internet. I'm talking about the 14-year-old "badass" on a video game forum who trash talks and uses mainly profanity to communicate. These people are "why we can't have nice things". I would just like to note though that TL is so awesome compared to the console gaming "communities" I've come from.

-Rap Music. Sorry, but it's dead to me now. It pretty much died along with Tupac, and then some guy called Soulja Boy came along and took a big huge dump on its grave.
-Bandwagoning. I don't even know if this is a word, but I hate people who ignorantly follow whatever is popular at the moment, and then just jump on the next big thing. What happened to being a faithful fan of anything? Flash is cool, but my Terran hero is still NaDa. Also, these same group of people seem to jump to conclusions so fucking fast it's ridiculous. For example, people that claimed Flash was slumping after going 2-2 in proleague during some week(s). Listen idiots, in a sport where the best players have winning statistics around the 60-65% mark, going 50/50 some week after a long winning streak means very little.
-Elitism. For example on the internet, people who don't take your opinion seriously until you have X amount of posts, or have been doing something for Y amount of years. These people are usually very closed-minded as well. Elitism really doesn't serve anyone any good but the people trying to stay in their little social bubbles telling their lame little inside jokes until the end of time.
-Logic. Sometimes it makes me doubt God. Wait, maybe this was supposed to be the other way around...

-- Just kidding, but to be serious... I don't really have a list quite as large as yours. I don't really get mad at much, but I really do hate how inaccurate my typing is. I make a typo like every other word. Usually I manage to correct it before hitting enter though. It sucks.
So yeah, I guess one of the ones I recognize the most is my inaccurate typing.
-- A smaller one that is kind of related would be the "Your message quota has been exceeded." message that I get on ICCup every other minute. Part of it is because I type like 3-4 words at most per line. Sometimes though I will type like a whole paragraph and hit enter then the other person doesn't even get my message because of it. So annoying.
-- A kind of small one and less common occasion is when an admin will close a thread the same time I make a post in it. I will spend some time making a long post and then once I hit post or whatever it gives me a cute little message "Not enough rights." or whatever it says. T_T
-- My lack of vocabulary. My English sucks. I can't interesting/less common words to use. Out of everyone I know my vocabulary is probably one of the smallest ones.

I think it's because Fox News appeals to some people's preconceived notions. If Fox News tells someone that they are right (about hating immigrants, atheists, democrats or whatever it is they do on that show), then they don't look elsewhere for truth, because their preconceived notions have been validated. It's not any better for that, but I think that's at least some of the reason that it kind of succeeds.

Every top player has some anti-fans (I can't think of a better word) because of the popular players they've beat to get to the top. -Elitism. As much as I like the great threads about life in general on TL.net, I try to stay away from a lot of the SC threads because sometimes you just encounter such elitism that it actually gets me, the most mellow person ever, annoyed.
-Self-pity. The thing that cracks me up at StarCraft sites is the overwhelming group of people who talk about how "girls only go for assholes." If you really think that's true, become an asshole and see if that works for you. And I would know, I was in the same boat for most of high school. I was always the "let's just be friends" and it was easy to fall back on "girls never go for nice guys." If you don't like something in your life, change it! It isn't hard.
-I don't know how to classify this one. Basically I joined a fraternity this past year (freshman year) of college. When I see old friends from high school that are my age, they sort of understand what that means. I have learned not to tell girls who just graduated from high school about the fraternity because literally everyone who has never been to college has a negative notion that they just love to hold onto. I would say "people who don't know what they're talking about" but that just sounds elitist.
-When people judge something they aren't familiar with. Like fraternities. Or people playing StarCraft. Or when someone sees the fact that I own the book "how to win friends and influence people" they assume I need to figure out how to "be cool." It's a great book that is great to read every once in a while to refresh your memory on the person you want to be.
-When people get their pants in a knot about something that doesn't matter. For example - unless it's in a tournament/league with a prize, who cares if someone hacked in SC? Yeah, it'd be nice if they stopped but really, what does it matter?
-When people insist on telling "religious" or "faithful" people that they're wrong/prosecuting religious people. Yes, I know that sometimes it can be annoying when people try to force their beliefs on you. But when you tell a religious person that they're wrong, you're doing the exact same thing. You think you're doing them a favor and enlightening them to your truth, and they think the exact same thing. Think of it as a gift - they have found something they really enjoy and want to share it with you. It's like finding a great restaurant and telling people about it. Keep their intentions in mind before judging their actions.
-People of authority calling you "sir" when they don't mean it. If a security guard is going to yell at me to leave, why is he calling me "sir"? But it isn't as bad as...
-People of authority insisting on receiving respect while giving none. My writing teacher this past year flipped out on me a few times while citing the passage from our university code that says "all persons shall be treated with respect." You'd think she would notice the irony.
-Hearing about gas prices. Yes, gas is suddenly expensive here in the states. Sure, I can understand talking about it when it's relevant (truck drivers) but apparently nothing is happening anywhere in the world so all our news can talk about is how high the price of gas is.
-When people take themselves too seriously. Really, me typing "bl nf bg" before a game does NOT make me "bad manner." It just means I like to fuck with you. When I say that people take themselves too seriously, I'm not absolving myself of the fact that I'm going against the "common etiquette" of a video game. I don't really get how we've built up all this etiquette that we're required to say all these random things before/after a game. I just don't understand why someone would get worked up about me poking fun at our "community etiquette." To each his own. This doesn't have anything to do with me taking responsibility for anything.
And, for the record, I'd like to clarify that it's completely my fault that I'm an ass. (Or I could blame the girls in high school choosing the "assholes" over me, but that wouldn't be taking responsibility for my actions  haha)

Buddy, I've got news for you. Getting along in life is all about obeying arbitrary rules of etiquette. We obey them, whether or not it makes sense. If you wouldn't say something like "you're ez" to someone before a real life football game, don't say it online. It has the same impact, and it's just as rude.

It really annoys me when people use the words "Jesus Christ" or "God" as some sort of interjection or in place of some expletive for no apparent reason. What's the point? What do they have to do with anything in the situation? If there is some correlation, then fine, but otherwise it's pointless. Also zealous Atheists annoy me. We know that many religious folk can be rude, overbearing, frustrating and all that jazz, but that doesn't mean you have to follow suit. We know your view, you don't have to stuff it down people's throats, kick them down, skin them and eat their children. Too many people think this only goes one way. It doesn't. Though I agree that insulting gay people is just plain stupid, I wouldn't liken it to insulting woman for being woman. A female is a gender, homosexuality is a lifestyle. They aren't the same, though I still get your point.
Because saying "jesus fucking christ" has such a good ring to it. nothing matches that ring. except goddamnit.

I don't think it's a big ideological issue, though, just one of whether or not you're willing to change the way you talk to appeal certain people's sensibilities.
I share Purind's hatred of consistently wrong spelling. Sometimes I wonder if the people are aware of what words they're actually using, or if they actually think they're using an homonym.

-"Declaring war" on domestic problems (crime, drugs, etc). Why not declare war on education while you're at it. Also it seems to just be a slogan that implies strong action (and garners support from a war-obsessed society), but really turns out to mean very little.
-Golf, in general. Waste of space, why would a country have a sport that takes up the size of a few states? Also Golf is a very elitist sport, if any of you have ever gotten involved with it. Silly rich white people.
