I hate iCCup slumps

I've been sitting on D+ pretty much the entire season, playing a bunch of C-'s and some D+'s. I figured it would pay off, and it seemed to appear so when I was at about 2900 or so points and it looked like I was about to hit C-.

But nope, wasn't gonna happen. I played a PvZ against a pretty good Z player and lost to a doom drop.

I was still within one win of C-... but nope, lost another D+ game in a PvP.

Since those back-to-back losses (both against Koreans... how lucky am I?) I've gone 3-15 and can't really seem to beat anyone. I'm dropping games so fast and I'm losing to people I know I shouldn't be losing to, and I'm REALLY frustrated.

Any tips on how to handle slumps?

Play few games vs weaker opponents to get morale boost and then you will get to C- in no time

Then again I have same problems (well maintaining D+ rank)

Don't look at it as a slump. Look at it as you simply getting outplayed. Look at each game on a game-to-game basis. It's possible that you could be playing 10 games in a row where you perform under what you would expect, but put things into perspective. Did I play poorly? Was the other guy just better?

Mayhap you think you're playing worse than usual, but you're not and the other guy just has a way of making you tick. There are times when it feels like the other guy is no better than I am but he's just one step ahead of me all the time and I'm forced in an uncomfortable situation and it really feels like I can't do anything

If you're playing like shit and you know you're gonna play like shit the game after, close bw. Start up the day after again ^_^

and losing to ppl who are better than you isn't a slump

so it's aight

Losing streaks suck. Twice this season I have gone on 9 game losing streaks. Just keep playing. You will start winning again. D+ is a bitch this season.

i looked my worst "streak" and it was 4-21. But now I am 4 win streak though :D

The only solution is to not play BW when you are frustrated. If you still want to play, try to calm yourself down, analyze the last replay and don't take the losses too hard on yourself. Playing SC while being frustrated will only accomplish more losses while making even worse mistakes than before.

Whenever I get frustrated about BW I either go play CS or go to USWest and play some FPM lol. But yeah the best thing to do is not to get discouraged about it. I would suggest instead of raging, just get away from your comp, go for a jog, watch a movie, anything.

At least your playing. I'm so terrified of ICCUP I play one game a day, if that, and then flee before I get humiliated.
