I remember when some reaction of another professor's student (it was a shared lab) started to smell horribly... I think the reflux condenser didn't have a fast enough flow rate of water, so it was just vaporizing the solvent and getting everywhere in the lab. I had to wrap up what I was doing as quickly as possible and take a long walk because it made my head hurt. But seriously, pyridine smells good to me unless its overwhelming... its weird how our senses work. If I were you I would have thrown the shirt off immediately and probably gotten into the chemical shower. :o | ||
