If you want to do this via willpower alone. You MUST stop now and say "I will never smoke another cigarette under ANY circumstances" If your an addict, the most difficult part isnt stopping completely, its attempting to moderate using willpower alone. Youll get stuck in a "Just one more then I'll stop" or "Well It was a special occassion" mindset and you'll never go anywhere. When I mean ANY circumstances, I mean it as well. Regardless of the situation, do NOT smoke. After a little while, youll lose the constant nagging urge to grab a cig. However that doesnt mean you can smoke. It just means it will be easier to resist from then on out. Always remember that if you start again for any reason you'll become addicted twice as fast and twice as strong. | ||

The best time to quit is when you get sick, cuz when you're sick you dont have the urge to. And when you're sick with flu, you dont have the urge for a whole week! I'm managing to control myself with 1-2 cigs a day. Then those cigs become sooo gooood! =D Oh, and i would quit tabaco so easily, if i had the possibility to roll a joint once in a while... week... day...... | ||

I had to stop before, because i removed some teeth, and everything was going great, but my willpower failed one day, and I bought a pack, I wasant smoking cigs for like 1 month, and it was all ruined. I kept telling myself that it would be the last pack (like ... lol, i just wanted to keep smoking) and basically, i smoked 2-3 more months. Now im quitting again, and now im prepared for my subsconcious trying screw me up, but whoever said when you come back its twice as addictings and twice as strong is totally right, I never enjoyed ciggaretes as much as I do now, and this is one of the main reasons im stopping, i was smoking like a fucking chimney. Im amazingly anxious. | ||

there is no such thing as wanting to stop smoking. you either stop or you continue smoking. just visualize yourself watching yourself from a third person perspective. externalize your conscience. | ||

This is due to the fact that most of them are non-smokers, and are ignorant and clueless. They don't know how it feels, and they just see it as another ordinary habit, like biting your nails. I have a bad temper, and smoking keeps me calm. It helps me deal with situations that I normally can't. During my period I tried to quit, I couldn't do things I used to do. I took seminars and classes, but they didn't help. I got angered easily, and got into many fights. I shortly started back up again. Nicotine is the most powerful drug in existence. It's addictiveness level is stronger than every know drug, including crack and heroin. It is not a joke, because I know its true. The first time I tried it was when I was about five years old when my aunt was smoking one and left it there, I got curious and took a sip and immediately started coughing and never touched it again. It was burning my throat! Since then I've hated cigarretes. | ||
