After like two years of playing random, I've decided to settle on a race. That race is Terran. Not because I particularly enjoy its match-ups, or because I won't miss using Queens and DA's... Just because I like to be different. It seems there's no Terrans anymore, except for Randomers, so I might as well 
Advantages: People aren't used to playing against Terran.
Disadvantages: Anyone who got good at that muta micro UMS map (read: everyone), is going to be a challenge.
So far I'm 3-0 on iCCup. My opponents seem legit retarded. It's like they get every kind of tech building, dual lair, and evo chambers just so I'll have no idea what exactly they're trying to go... but then I break their sunks and they realise they should have probably just chosen one thing.
I have a nasty habit of pressing "i" thinking I'm going to be upgrading mines, and then realising my vultures have speed, and my expo is going to be impossible to defend without the help of some hero scvs, and a very helpful tank... I saw him upgrading range, but I guess it was a fake with air upgrades, cause his dragoons couldn't hit my tank with my scvs blocking them off... That was amusing.
So, from Terran, to Protoss, to Terran, to Zerg, to Random, to Terran, maybe I'll stop fucking around and actually get good at this game

Nothing wrong with race hopping. Obviously you can do whatever the hell you want. Terran is not easy to use though, so as you know you are in for a challenge getting highly ranked. I don't think terran is so uncommon that people aren't used to playing against them though.

Also, iCCup is a lot better than it used to be. I used to be so frustrated looking for games I gave up, but now it seems there's plenty in the join list. Nobody makes anything but Python though lol. Wish I could make

Most recent guy decided it would be awesome to go 2 base guardians... that seems to be a theme of D D+ level Zergs... They know they're supposed to take their natural, but after that they don't understand they should expand again. His muta harass kept me contained for a bit though, so I guess that was impressive.
I've also been averaging 180 apm, which is pretty unprecedented

If your eapm is nearly that high, then that's good because with terran you'll surely need it. Especially in tvz?

I actually like to go ion before mines alot, because it lets you snipe his probe before it can build the third and get out
plus I like them zooming around asap :O

Oh god, I'm so sad... I thought my opponent was Z, when he was P, so I opened up 2 rax... and then I just sorta went with it and got m'm vessels and ghosts.. but you can't really do that effectively when you FE, so it was this really long drawn out retarded game, and I know I would have won if I just knew he was P so I could go fac... oh well lol, bye bye spotless record. I was hoping I'd at least make it out of D without a scratch.

Vs terran people switch races at the last second sometimes. Gotta watch for that!

Welcome to the only real race. Let's see whether you've got the perseverance it takes to become a good Terran player. Oh, and don't be surprised if you're APM get a sudden boost, it's perfectly normal and surely needed.

PsycoTemplar mind if I join you as well? I find Protoss not fun and PvT is way too hard, while TvP is a better matchup for me if I practice on it. TvZ is also fun. =)

But I'll tell you right now, if you thought PvT was hard, TvP probably won't be much easier. Personally I find PvT much easier, but I'll persevere and become better at TvP eventually.
The great thing about having a main race is now when I lose a game and watch the replay, I can actually think about fixing flaws in my game, instead of thinking of a solution, and then never implementing it because it takes forever to ever see again. I'm already getting to play some people who were C rank last season, so that's nice.
I'm fairly certain I'll make it to at least C, but I'm not sure if I'll have the motivation to play so many games I could get into B... We'll have to see :O

Well, my experience has been quite different from yours. In the last year, I've met two people who's main race is Terran. On iCCup I've played 4 Zerg, 6 Toss, and 1 Terran. Which is a damn shame, cause TvT is one of my strongest matchups  Well, actually that's not a shame, because I really need to work on the others lol.
I think while I'm climbing to C rank, I'll just play standard and safe, so that I can finally learn how both these matches are really played... Once I have a solid (metaphorical) base after that, I'll mix it up and start doing the cooler stuff Terran is fun for
