That's really odd. Maybe the prices on your vending machine haven't been marked up lately? It's always nice to find machines that still sell snickers or a 12 oz. of soda for 50 cents.

cuz....they think that lots of people will go to sainsbury's and coop and stuff so when they pass by the vending machine they'll go like oh wow that's convenient let me get a snickers bar!

In my university its 80 cents for a can of sprite and 1euro for a bottle. It's pretty cheap, but aint nowhere close to beating Aldi

Yeah Aldi and Lidl are very cheap and they have stuff that other store's don't but their stores are just like a large room with stuff piled up in it lol. And no they don't have have shopping carts.

Is it really like that? In Germany they massively improved and is considered on of the better places (Aldi Sued, that is (compared to other discounters, that is)).
Vending machines in my company are usually also the cheapest way to buy snacks but I think they just buy in bulk and don't mean to make profit.

man USC tries to kill us with their prices. vending machines aren't TOO horrible but if you go to the marketplace/convenience store in the middle of campus a 20oz bottle of water costs $1.70? wtf T_T

Ahh.. Sainsbury's, the real hub of Cambridge. Is that Big Issue guy still outside it? He had some cracking sale lines. 
Sainsbury's isn't that posh (or poche...!) is it?! :S M&S probably has a better claim to that title, followed by all those ridiculously upmarket, stupid little art galleries you walk past but never fully notice. You know what I mean!

They try to make the schools "healthy" but then everyone just takes there polluting automobiles and goes across the street to w/e and gets a free student soda and some fattening chipotle for like 5$. rofl.
