Well a few people in my school took the AP Art History exam yesterday and got suspended today
But I heard that their teacher didn't really teach, so they had no idea. So they drew like offensive things such as a penis or making fun of jewish people, and other things.
But why did the school look at the AP answers? I thought that the answers were only to be seen after the AP tests were graded...
|
No idea, but that's such a waste of money to pay for the exam, and not even try to do it...
|
Our school forces us to take it no matter what. So they had no choice
|
Why don't you ask them why they looked?
|
??? Your school can't "force" you to take the test, unless they pay for it. Those things are ridiculously expensive.

Dunno, just a hypothesis.

That is such a lame excuse, all the info is in the book. No teacher can teach someone who doesn't want to learn.

Not sure what they did at their school but at my high school a few years ago, you had to sign a contract at the beginning of the year agreeing to take the AP test as well as paying the $82 by the end of the second week of school.

They weren't supposed to. That's a breach of protocal and you can get your school in trouble.

where do you live. lets have an art battle!

What's with people and drawing shit on their AP exams? I've heard of people writing "I DON'T KNOW BECAUSE MY TEACHER'S A DUMBASS WHO CAN'T TEACH". I mean... at least you could BS some stuff and get a few points, right?

Well considering you have no idea about the teacher you can't say that. You sign up for a class to be taught. If all you got was a book you wouldn't need to be at school and teachers wouldn't be needed.

Yep, when you get to college the attitude is that there is too much information for a teacher to cover it in a semester, so you have to read/study on your own in addition to the teacher. Since 1 year of an AP class is equivalent to a semester in college you must expect that the students must read and study on their own instead of just relying on the teacher.
Granted, if the teacher is bad it rather sucks for the class, and then you must learn on your own. Besides its not like AP tests are super difficult, you only need like a 60% for 4 or 5 which most colleges accept.
If these were students who studied super hard on their own and their teacher sucked so much they couldn't pass then you can blame the teacher. But the same students who would study hard are usually not the ones drawing dicks/writing offensive stuff

yep, not taking initiative just because your teacher sucks only screws yourself in the end
i wish i had more initiative in general :{
|
it's like ~80$ per test.
so your school pays for that? that's awesome.

Yep, the school can do this. Do remember they get the green inserts and hand them over to the teachers, so if anything offensive is in there, I'd imagine disciplinary action can follow through.
