(Or this weekend was generally just great.)
Came home from my gf's house (from a previous night of partying) and found a tax refund of 750$ and a insurance referal 25$ bonus check waiting for me (I referred a friend who got a great deal, win/win/win situation). Later that day, this sexy little philipino/spanish chick (I met like 2 years on myspace through mutual music interests) starts calling/texting me again (including sexy pictures).
I was supposed to meet up with her that night but my phone died when I got to the party she was heading to (which ended up having seriously the entire Santa Ana police department breaking it up. like 18 cop cars, a few vans & SUVs, K9, sheriff, and gang units, etc.)
So that sucked balls, after a few failed 1AM attempts to find her house and/or buy a charger I went home asap to charge my phone and call her. She was really horny and sent me more sexy and naked pics.
So the next day I decided to let my gf go. I'm a bad bf anyways, she should have dumped me a year ago. Its a really hard situation for me because I really 'like' her but I know it'll never be anything more than that for me, like it is from her point. I know shes gonna fall hard, because I tried to leave before and she cried all day/night. I feel bad but I think its worse to sort of lead her on.
Its also kind of difficult because I enjoy her company and I still wanna do the same things we always do (go out for lunch, run some errands, hang out, come over at night and watch movies, share hugs/kisses etc.), and I told her this, but she has this "friends don't do these things" attitude. To me she has this warped idea that boyfriend and girlfriend have to be in love or whatever, and friends have to act a certain way. Imo, people should just do whatever they want and not be bound by some unwritten code.
Its really hard to explain but basically, I mean well. I've seriously been trying to find a good way to let her down without destroying her (like the time I cold turkeyed it) ever since she 'fell in love' with me. It just came to me on Sunday to tell her that I want to just be really good friends with her still and still be there whenever she needs something. Anything at all, including ALL the huge spectrum of things a normal bf would do.
She has been crying a little bit here and there, but I've been trying my hardest today and yesterday to keep her spirits up. For the most part she has this sad look on her face and is quiet which I am also trying my hardest to resist from relapsing into 'her' relationship. Because afterall relationships should be mutual feelings.
Ok, so besides all this (which is not necessarily bad) I got a new stereo system for my van (I seriously know shit about wiring and stereos). Its a Sony CDX-GT420IP 120$, and the dash kit/wires for another 40$. I hooked it all up and it works perfect, came with ipod connector/charger included. I'm stoked. Bought a few other stupid things I've been meaning to buy around the house and have tons of money to spare and will probably be getting the 'Economic Stimulus Payment' check ($600) soon too.
I plan to fix a bunch of shit that is messed up around my grandma's house with all this money too. I've already done a few 'cheap fix' things like re-caulking the bathtub.
PS- If anyone read all of my ramblings, know that I wrote it spontaneously and didn't edit or re-read any of it for clarity.
PPS- did you know that a cellphone deposit doesn't actually get returned to you after the contract is completed? Why the hell is it called a deposit instead of a down payment or something? A deposit on an apt. or something usually implies return upon successful completion.

too bad we make too much money, therefore pay the government a lot more in taxes therefore do not get free money from them.

I'm doing ok, I mostly just read and post little due to 56k free internet or hijacked wireless internet that is dodgy. Tonight its pretty steady, so its adding to my good mood and I wrote a blog.

I broke up with my gf of almost four years for similar reasons. Its good you got out while you did. Sometimes thats just the way it works. It sucks not having the frequent cuddling and or sex, but if its not there then its time to move on. At least you have the stereo system. Good luck dude.

I know its not gonna advance beyond what weve got but it its hard I really love hanging out, Im just not *in* love. I agree that its better to end it then lead her on,.. i need to grow a pair and get to it =/

Bumping this to say that The Philipino chick ended up finally moving to the Bay Area like she had wanted to ever since I first met her. I still talk to her every once in a while and we chat on myspace and AIM. I burned her DVDs cause she's so bored and says she has no movies, for her bday which was in august. She is starting to get lonely/homesick up there so maybe she will return. She is so cute/quirky/fiesty and easy to talk to, when we would hang out we would just sit there and drink and talk while listening to music that we both enjoy (which is damned rare for me) and it was fun. She's really cool and I just wanted to get to know her more in depth, we never really got passed the initial 'I barely know you' phase. Oh and she totally jocks and throws compliments like mad at me whenever she gets the chance, (ioi's).
As far as my gf, we have been together for a long while now and my feelings are generally the same, although I do now realize how lucky I am to have such a loyal/slave (can't think of a better word here lol) companion. She does basically anything for me with just the right manipulation.
Now that I live in Long Beach, we see each other less (like once a week or so). So I think If I wanted to break up with her it would be a bit easier on her. I kinda get the feeling that she wants to explore sexually and would more willing to a mutual breakup when/if the time comes.
PS- I also now have a car charger for my phone lol.
