Thanks guys.
GSI is over. If there is another tournament like that in the future I will probably update this script. For now it's useless, you can uninstall it.

Thanks jgad for this method!

Really nice script. Would be even nicer if this was official site functionality

Wow this is awesome. I wonder why I haven't seen this before. How about getting these into the Resources for a Better Starcraft Life thread?

Omg stop posting gems like this in the blogs!

It works for me.
It may take a couple of seconds ere the stream is found.

Bumping:
If you have a laggy GOMTV stream, use this script to get the stream for VLC. In VLC, make the following settings:
Settings -> Input/Codecs -> Access modules -> HTTP(S)
There, tick the checkbox for 'Advanced options'.
An option 'Caching value in ms' appears. Increase this to at least 20000, save, and restart the stream.
Doesn't solve all lag issues but the stream works way better this way. If it hangs you have to restart again.

Ok I need some help. I downloaded firefox, installed the greasemonkey extension, but I can't figure out how to install the script.
Any help?
edit: Ok I think I got it installed (it said "script installed" or something at the bottom) but the "stream" tab on the right does not appear =/
edit2: lol wtf, ok restarted firefox / reinstalled script 4-5 times and now it appears but it's empty =/

thanx alot for this, stream is working like a charm

This needs to be in the "Starcraft Resources" thread. Thanks a lot, zatic!

I have installed and the MSL link appears, but when I try to open it tries to save some playlist.php file. Is zatic php server down, or some other problem?

hey zatic, is there anyway to incorporate this with the site so it can be viewed in all browers? or is this basically the only way to do it?
Love the link, just wondering, though.

Nope, this is Firefox only, sorry. Also this is not an official TL function at all but a feature you install in your browser on your own.
I need beta testers for version 2.0 btw. If you want to help deinstall the old version and install this one: http://zatic.net/grease/tl_stream_sidebar2.user.js
From a user's perspective it should work just the same but there have been some important changes under the hood. You can always reinstall the old one should this one not work as expected for MSL on Saturday.
|
I tried to install the beta2.0 - but it keep getting a Java Script error that says script not found.
|
Did this work for anyone else tonight? I had to use the Daum Sports stream which is laggy as fuck on my connection.
|

On November 09 2008 19:32 zatic wrote: Does it work now? I am at WCG and the wireless here sucks so it doesn't work for me. jeah it works..
since i am using linux, if i copied url from stream and pasted in VLC, it gave an error, and i didnt notice that the url was some strange format..
i then just pasted right adress( if u put your mouse over stream = zatic... = http: right adress) when i put my mouse over stream, and since only y (x.x.x.y) is changing, and gave the y that i had on the page
otherwise i have some problems in my VLC, that alot of time thing freezes after few seconds, had to use totem player, which had some buffering , but i could watch ..
|
using it right now for msl thanks alot
|
same here, i just used this for the msl finals

type Status report
message /grease/tl_stream_sidebar2.user.js
description The requested resource (/grease/tl_stream_sidebar2.user.js) is not available. JBossWeb/2.0.1.GA
