Seconded. Explain more on these disks. It sounds like it hurt, but I'm just confused at what happened.

1) Caringmedical.com The doctor of that page also wrote the book: 2) "Prolo your pain away" - it's a very good read. short, easy to understand, and hope giving (at least in my case). For a prolotherapistdoctor, 3) getprolo.com has a listing of doctors in your state and area that adminster prolotherapy. im sorry to hear that. i really hope you will be better. but most likely, if you are seeing only a very mainstream doctor, he will recommend only a limited number of treatment options that are out there. rarely do such serious accidents go on to not have recurring problems. And many peopel waste their money. But there IS a treatment that gives lasting cure, and even make you stronger than before so you don't have to keep seeing doctors. it's prolotherapy. prolotherapy stimulates the body itself to repair connective tissue - ligaments and tendons. they get poor blood supply normally (and so they are white, whereas muscles are red with blood) and so they have poor healing. maintream medicine has no treatment for strengthening and repairing connective tissue. most likely with such a serious impact like that your ligaments and tendons are really messed up and could come back again and again if it isn't healed enough. it's common sense really, if your ligaments and tendons have been hurt, damaged, torn, the logical thing is to repair it, Not disceting discs, removing joints, inserting artificial metal plates, which mainstream doctors will eventually all resort to without ever presenting you the option of prolotherapy. i myself am recovering from a back injurry, including herniated discs, fibromyalgia, damaged ligaments in the lowerback. I've gotten epidurals, physical therapy, all the race track. I put my faith in the doctors, and thought i was getting better, but when i got rapidly worse, and a few months ago and coulnd't run, walk, sit, and eventually couldn't lie down without pain i seriously got worried, and paniced. i started doinhg all sorts of research myself, and after seeing many doctors, and throwing away lots of money i came across prolotherapy. Proltherapy claimed to heal completely, no side effects, utilizes the body's own healing mechanism. and it claimed that the pain wouldn't return agian, and i would even be stronger than before. i've gotten 3 months of therapy now, and i am approaching the 3 and halfmonth estimate my prolotherapy doctor gave me. i can walk again, and so much pain has gone away. If i had stayed with mainstream medicine, i wuld have already had discectomy surgery already. and that makes things even worse, because the force distribution is uneven, and excessive in certain areas. i sincerely wish you well, as a fellow skeletal pain sufferer. You will want take a look at this website, that explains why steroid/cortisone injections make you worse, why surgury will mkae you worse, why antiinflammatories will make you worse, but how prolotherapy will CURE you forever. 1) Caringmedical.com The doctor of that page also wrote the book: 2) "Prolo your pain away" - it's a very good read. short, easy to understand, and hope giving (at least in my case). If you are already too far down that raod by the time you read this, there is an alternative and it works. Good luck to you.

I guess at least it will give you a new perspective on life, you sound like you've already thought about it before this, I guess you will get a chance to do it some more.

There are small Lumbar discs in between each of your vertebrae in your backbone that allow for smooth movement and remove friction between vertebrae. Normally they are supposed to be shaped like a perfect O when seen in a horizontal cross-section. The purple thing between the vertebrae in this diagram is the disc: ![]() Here is what a herniated Lumbar disc is: ![]() As you can see it can cause lots of problems when it's fucked up like that. Most notable things are back pain and leg pains, although more symptoms and a higher level of severity comes with greater injury. --- On a personal note, I'm very sorry to hear about your accident. It can happen to any of us at any time, it's unfortunate that it happened to you. Keep your chin up like you seem to be doing, and like you said, tragedy gives people something to write about. Hopefully you will recover as fast as possible, and if anything, it'll give you a unique view on life. We're here for you <3
