Berkley Springs - David Essig (arrangement by Don Ross) Better than me - Hinder Collide - Howie Day Save tonight - Eagle Eye Cherries Here, there, and everywhere - the Beatles True - Ryan Cabrera Easiest of those mentioned are collide and save tonight, which you can probably find tabs for on ultimate-guitar. I recommend going on youtube and watching some covers of songs to see what you like =)

Myself I found Nirvana to have several good songs to learn when I was starting out. Other good guitar bands might be Iron Maiden, Metallica, Megadeth, whatever. Actually reading the artists you mentionned now the stuff I said might not interest you much. Owel hehee. Yea well i was hoping to get some specific songs that would be within my skill range instead of just looking up shitloads of tab and figuring out the difficulty. I play acoustic by the way, and i'm not really into metal, but some rock/classic/alternative is good.

it just depends on what you like to play...whether it be cool finger-picked riffs or melodious chords or hardcore 2 finger strumming...whatever you like...go through your music library and pick out songs/riffs you think would be cool to play, see the tab and estimate if you can play it or not

Both Dave Matthews and John Mayer are fantastic guitar players so you'll find some tricky stuff as well as some simple stuff - it's just a matter of what to look for. As a beginner, you're better off sticking to songs with standard chords and standard timings as opposed to the awkward variations these better players use. Good luck!
