One of the main attractions of watching VODs for me is the suspense in not knowing who wins. I actually thought this was true for almost every SC fan, but it turns out that the opinions on this are quite mixed. Among other reasons, some people watch VODs primarily to learn strategies while others wish to be amazed by the flawless mechanics of progamers. For these people, knowing the winner beforehand isn't as much of an issue.
It is an issue for me though, which encouraged me to upload the OSL VODs to stage6.com in the first place. I choose not to upload proleague and other small leagues because the quality of the games are usually low compared to starleagues. There is a good game every once now and then. That's when I'm thankful for Jon747.
The problem with YouTube is the timer. So this may seem silly, but I taped some index cards together and folded it in half to effectively cover up the timer in full screen. It has made watching VODs on YouTube much more enjoyable. Try it (though I bet a lot of you are already doing something similar anyway)!

I know exactly what you mean man. I HATE SPOILERS soooo much. Unfortunately the nature of my job on TL forces me to spoil every match every day unless i watch them first before adding to TLPD hahaha.

That's pretty hardcore. I see your point though, I used to get somewhat annoyed by the timer too.

DLing VODs is also spoiling because you can see the number of games. The best for me is watching it through GOMTV because I have no idea what the "Next" link says.  Luckily, I usually don't care about the outcome unless I have some emotional attachment to the players.

Well, when I download VODs through bittorrent, I don't see the number of games. However, I do see how file size. I try not to think about the file sizes, but I guess I am a bit OCD. I can't help but start thinking about how if a file is 500 mb and one game is 300 mb, the other games must be really short, and things like that. It's not as bad as seeing the game length though.

lol great solution... it will be hard for a person like me to put it into big screen without staring at the numbers next to it though. ugh, i hate being spoiled, but for whatever reason, i can't help but stare at things that spoil me. i remember small vod thread used to have ponpoko for no-games and i got mad about it all the time cause i dl ahead of time x.x

What the hell is that on your mouse, do you left click with a hammer ?! I've never seen anything like that hahaha. Good job on the spoiler stuff btw, always kinda sucks when I already know the length of a game but never really thought about hiding it.

Just realised that my optical mini looks a little like your's, except it's black where your's is white. Good stuff with the spoilers, I remember I once did that with replays, making it so that I couldn't see resources/supply and game progress.

ahaha I feel the same way blind and have thought about blocking the timer too, but never did cuz it's just too much for me.
