*sigh* Today I decided not to go to school today, I'm still in highschool, and this was the first time in this school year that I decided not to go to school as I have NEVER been absent in anyday before. Anyways last night I stayed up too long and still didn't get everything that I had to to do because there were three major fucking tests today. I had soooo much homework, that it wouldn't be possible for me to do well on today's tests. The teachers don't really care, as they will just let me do all three tests on Monday or someday later if I was absent. Yes it was very stupid of me, and yes I should be ashamed of myself, and yes I'm making myself look like a pussy. Infact as I got up, I felt weak, the cold fear of the unknown gripped me, worry strangled me, then I thought of the punishment I would recieve from my parents. I could imagine my mothers expression, shock. But then I began controlling the fear, I decided it was time that I took control of my life, and not others over me. So therefore it was stupid of me, but I am not worried because I am no longer living in fear as the days before, always obeying like a sheep. I did something wrong, but I am not scared because I always am when I do something like this.

don't worry, I did that a few times myself. some times parrents even supported me. ^_^

just don't make it into a habit, then it turns into avoiding resposabilities.

you can now see there's more than one positive thing about it (except not getting bad grades). =)
now use that feeling for good and start beeing aware of things in a different way. (you don't need to ditch your old way of thinking though, this is just a new perspective to enjoy, in addition to your old one.)

I am Asian as in from South Asia, but I'm in a difficult life sitaution. I was beaten before when I was little but my mother stopped beating me because she thought it was horrible. She instead lectures me and mocks what I do and what I say. She wants the best of me, and by doing this, I feel I'm betraying her, because she has done so much so that I can be here where I am right now. Although for the entirety of my life I have always depended on her, and her wisdom, I never had a real dad and I have a step dad who could care less about me but himself and he would love to see my life ruined. Then there is my real father who deosn't care about me that much, who is stingy as fuck, and deosn't want to really do much about me. So pretty much I've always been depending on other people, and I have never been independant, but by doing something so radical as this I feel I'm taking the necessary steps to fight my weakness. I'm not emo, and for so many years I have been able to survive through so many things, but it all came with a price.

Just make sure your grades are good so you can get in to college. The rest doesn't matter. You can truly reinvent yourself once you get out of the shit hole that is high school.

No, a lot of the time life is just getting through a shit hole. If you give up then you're stuck lying in shit, so you keep on going just for the sake of not stopping. Eventually you get through and then you can experience how great life really is.

Yes, I'm Asian. my Dad actually encouraged me to sip, but my Mom was a retard and thought that 5 absences on my transcript would somehow null my University applications.

i've skipped too much, im in grade 10 and 11 and i should be graduating with my friends this year but because of skipping, i am not. i am very dissapointed in myself.

but you just skipping 1 day is not a big problem at all. your mom should understand espeacially with the way too much homework part.

dude whenever I ditch a class, I just tell my self that it was an academic break. That way, I convince myself that what I did was for my education and I didn't have a choice.

Oh man, I got calls from the school intended for my parents on why I am absent today, even though my parents are away. In my school, students can't talk in such calls or talk to the caller involving an absence. My parents have to notify them, lol. I didn't even pick it up or say anything at all, they don't even know why I am absent. Do your highschools take similar action in such sitautions?
