[H]Broke a few mechanical switches off my keyboard

MarlieChurphy United States2063 Posts September 04 2019 02:45 GMT #1 I have a couple keys that the little plus sign straight up broke off and half is in the cap and in the board. Can I like super glue it back together or can I get a replacement red switch? I dont know much about these.

Djzapz Canada10681 Posts September 04 2019 03:57 GMT #2 If you can successfully superglue the little + back on top, I would be skeptical about durability. And yes you could get a replacement red switch. Some keyboards have modular switches that can be removed using a tool (google it). If the switch has a small latch at the top and the bottom they can be pulled usually pretty easily. In some keyboards they're soldered on so you'd need to disassemble the keyboard, melt the solder from under the PCB, remove the switch, put a new one on and solder it back.
