Unfortunately I didn't get to go to Shine this year. If anything, though, I'm glad I didn't because from what I saw on Twitter, there was some sort of mosquito virus going around, and some of the TVs on the stream setup were laggy.
I've gotten kinda lucky though, because I've noticed that whenever I'm interested in an event and end up not going, something bad always happens. At one, the tournament itself was ran horribly, at another, there were a lot of technical issues, at a third one it was really hot in the venue and someone died of a seizure, and now Shine 2019 with laggy TVs and mosquito viruses.
A few interesting things happened in esports too: OG became the first team to win 2 Internationals, MKLeo won 2 major Smash events in a row, EVO and Super Smash Con (and unless something crazy happens he'll probably win Shine later today since the tournament hasn't finished at the time of this writing), and a 16-year-old won 3 million dollars from playing Fortnite.
Hope to see you guys again soon!
