well, seems that after the amount of downloads of iTunes (thanks to iPod) Steve Jobs has taken a step to get in the market of web browsers. He is getting the Mac Web Browser, Safari, onto the PC as a free browser.
It seems that it would be the most competition to Opera and Firefox, since most IE users can't think to try a different browser than the one that it is included with their Windows OS.
from the differents reviews around, it seems that it is faster than IE7 (what a surprise...) and Firefox and Opera!
quote from PC-Review
Compared to the latest versions of the competition Safari 3 is just slightly faster than Firefox and only twice as fast IE7.
the down-side is that it is beta, buggy and doesn't support all webpages (ie. IE webpages only). Still, it has all the cool features a browser should have: tabs, rss, fast search, etc.
defintely worth a look at... maybe later versions will be more stable and widely accepted. In some reviews it has been suggested that this was done to get people more used to the interface for when the iphone is released. Time will tell i guess...
