I went to Atlanta for my first COD Esports Event

Earlier last month, I was sent to Atlanta, GA to check out a Call of Duty World League event. :D I haven't really followed COD esports since Black Ops -- so it was interesting to see how things have changed over the years! I'm glad to see there's some familiar team names and players still occupying the scene. This was my first time in Atlanta, so I did some quick exploring (flew in Saturday afternoon.. flew out Sunday night). I did not go to the Coca-Cola muesum lol. Atlanta... has.. uh interesting temperature. It was super hot but then also kinda chilly and rainy? I DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO DEAL LOL. View from the hotel I did end up going to a BBQ place called Fat Mat's which was super good. Didn't have a chance to take a picture since the lighting was super dim. Anyway, I know why you're all here. Come look at some food I guess (and esports pictures). first night of room service! Burger and a banana pudding? It was ok. :X I was able to see a ferris wheel from my hotel room. My uber driver complained about how dumb the ferris wheel is lol The following morning, I had shrimp and grits for the first time! Like actual grits in the south. I DID IT FAM. LIVING THE DREAM. BREAKFAST IN BED. I was also within walking distance of the Georgia Aquarium. I'm a huge fan of aquariums. Growing up, my family would make yearly trips during the spring/summer to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. We also went to very aquarium we could on vacation.. Vancouver Aquarium, London Aquarium, Sea Life Sydney Aquarium... I was too young to remember any of these trips (I was 1 or 2 years old when my family would travel int'l), but I always grew up surrounded by sea life memorabilia. TL;DR I like aquariums. WHALE SHARK THO! They have 4 whale sharks at the Georgia aquarium. :0 Lil penguin buddies. NOW FOR SOME ESPORTS: You basically walk down this hall to get into the arena. There's like epic music blaring and lights that will eventually move and point to the championship trophy at the end of the hall. Definitely felt like I was not cool enough to walk through the hall T_T Banners of past winners hung at the entrance to the arena Full crowd :0 Luminosity vs Rise Nation! I wanted LG to win Grand finals! RED TEAM VS OTHER RED TEAM. My next stop is PAX East. I'll be flying in on Friday and leaving on Sunday. If you'll be there and wanna say hi, let me know! The Aquarium was my favorite as well, lots of cool stuff to see if you are into that kinda thing. Went to World of Coke as well. Honestly you didn't miss that much. They have some informational stuff and shops. My favorite thing was they had this room where you could try all the drinks Coca Cola makes from all over the world but I really only liked it because they had the Mezzo Mix there that I always got in Germany when I went to visit my grandma. Still baffled that I haven't seen it in the states, that stuff is good.
