Week Two Recap
After the glory that was Week Two, Week Three was a bit of a wet noodle. Mizenhauer’s feud with Incubation worsened as he was caught off guard by Golo’s ling flood while inspecting the Tzuyu poster next to his desk and, while Olli moved to 2-0 after Poopi’s incomprehensible one base all in, The_Templar’s proxy hatch never got anywhere close to Char’s natural, putting Luolis in a prime position to choke. And he did just that, in a flurry of BM, poor warp prism defense and aborted pushes that left his captain shaking his head and bemoaning his fate. When the dust settled, DJs and Dinos had claimed their first win and Twice Prime’s playoff dreams had gone up in smoke. The other match went the distance, with Opisska and Crecketer spliiting the first two maps by seeing who could embarrass themselves more. Railgan returned us to some semblance of stomachable play, with Inflicted sending thing to the ace match. Surprisingly, Viper wasn’t in the starting lineup, but it was immediately apparent why as he tossed away an eighty supply lead vs Elentos. WORRY NOT! S T A T S B OY S was still able to sneak into the playoffs on the back of a superior map scoring, setting up a rematch vs Totally Not the Favorites in the Finals.
Bonus Interview with Luolis
Hi, first off why don’t you introduce yourself?
Hello, I’m Luolis. I am the worst vP player in LRTL and #2 dank memer in the finnish sc2 scene.
Splendid, splendid. Well, to be it bluntly, your performances thus far have been anything but splendid. What word would you chose to describe your historically bad 0-3 record in Round 1 of LRTL?
Protoss.
Would you ever go so far as to say, “if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em”?
If i could choose to play PvP after the matchups are set, i’d probably do that.
Let’s get a prediction for next round. How many times do you think you’ll play?
I trust in my captain Mizenhauer to pick me for every game, and setting me up so i don’t have to play TvP.
And how many will you win?
I’ll win every game that isn’t TvP.
Thanks for enlightening conversation, Luolis. If I’m looking for the fastest possible way to throw a game vs Protoss, what should I do?
I think making a 3rd CC as proxy in the vision of a Xel’Naga tower is a good place to begin.

Map 1: Inflicted actually boasts at 2-0 record so far in LRTL. He may not the highest ranked player, but only Railgan managed more win. Look for him to move to 3-0 in what will be the first and only time Port Aleksander is played in Round 1.
Map 2: Incubation is awful and no one has had to experience this more than Ej who has become Incubation slave number one. He’s yet to drop a game on it, though, making him more than a match for novice Incubationer, Crick.
Map 3: Polish Zerg vs Korean Terran. Someone should write a novel about this. I’m not going to though.
Map 4: opisska seems more interested in bird watching than making banelings. I’m gonna go with dodgeland, who’s shown up just in time to spike one for his team
Map 5: An easy choice. One of these players has beaten me in a tournament setting. The other has not. Guess who I’m going with?
Map 6: Elentos can’t beat a slumping soO, but he managed to sneak by a peaking Viper. The real question is where is Phred’s form at and does it fit neatly into the existing narrative?
Prediction:
Inflicted 1 > 0 The_Red_Viper
Eji 2 < 0 Cricketer
Kashim 2 < 1 Seeker
opisska 2 < 2 Heartland
Durn 3 > 2 Railgan
Elentos 4 > 2 Phredxor
Totally Not Round Champs Win 4-2
