Hey all, thought I'd make a post about the game I've been developing for some time now. It's called NEO Impossible Bosses!

NEO Impossible Bosses is a RTS-MOBA RaidBoss rush. In summary, you (and your allies) have to utilize a number of heroes to defeat the Impossible Bosses! You might have heard of something similar in one of the custom maps fond in Warcraft3 and Starcraft 2, called 'Impossible Bosses' made by Psyris. However, it had its limitations in it's multiplayer-only experience, one of which was that the quality of random pubbies you got matched with would limit your experience.

I'm attempting to make a more single-player friendlier version to escape such confines, first by implementing a Real Time Tactical Pause mechanic in which you can pause and still give orders to your units for their next move, and secondly by allowing players to attempt any boss in a non-linear fashion.

There's also another issue regarding my current unit controls. In this day and age where the control schemes of games tend to move away from multiple unit control to single character control, others have told me to reduce it such that players control a single unit, but I'm not convinced. I still embrace the idea of multiple unit control because it gives me more options in gameplay, even though it demands much more of the player.

Looks good i asume this is singleplayer and multiplayer? I really dont see how singleplayer could work in a game like this wouldnt it be insanely diffult if its challenging in multiplayer to not be impossible in single player?

It has the real time tactical pause mechanic, in which you can issue your next commands to your heroes while paused, similar to FTL's pausing. It's one of the solutions I've cooked up to ensure controlling multiple units doesn't stress you out. That said, even in multiplayer you can control more than one hero.

But if you decide your RTS skillz are really good for pausing, go ahead and play without it! I'll make sure to recognize that achievement in-game.

why did you post in blogs' rather than in custom' forum?

why just one picture eye candy ?

- Pause is not for multiplayer, it's a single player only tool when no one's around to play with you.
- I wasn't too sure about rules, and posting as a blog tends to stay on the sidebar for a longer period of time.
- There are plenty of pictures in the greenlight page/website. Didn't want to flood the blog too much with images. Here's another.

I always wondered what a MaxPayne multiplayer experience would be like
(the pause mechanic would function as any other abilities, each player has energy/cooldown to use it)

tl blog is more "open" than tl custom forum, and i just wanted you to be the one to say it
(still feel "mirrored" threads would be nice, i'd get tl+ if it allowed me 1 mirrored thread in two forums/month)
