3) voting procedures
To be a Councillor of Shitposting (we'll abbreviate to CS for now) one must fulfill some of the following criteria:
1) 10k post count in TL.net
OR
2) membership span over 24 months
OR
3) nomination by other members CS with due explanation for why the nominee is a valid TL community member to judge shitposting
AND
4) frequently shitposts in LR threads
I haven't thought at all about voting people off the council.
Applications can be made at any time. For now since there isn't anyone, people who want to be a CS can just lemme know and I'll add them to the list!
Also you can be a member of the Council AND be a shitposter - they aren't mutually exclusive
Shitposting ranks which I plagarized off academic organizations:
* ranks have no set rules and CS members can debate whether or not a member is permitted to become a shitposter;
however the proper recommendation is that someone is given a week between promotions/demotions to allow them to
adjust to being a different tier of shitposter because people TOTALLY care about that.
The entry rank is a Shitposter. Can be anyone the council sees fit.
Then there is the Senior Shitposter. A second tier shitposter, probably granted to someone with ~20k posts or a specific reason to be considered a second tier shitposter.
Lastly there is a Fellow of Shitposting, the highest honour(?) an LR shitposter can have. Probably granted to someone with 30k posts.
The voting procedure on shitposting members:
1) a new member of shitposting must carry at least 3 recommendations from CS before voting begins
2) the majority of CS (>50%) must be present to discuss the new shitposter (Discord/Skype/Facebook/whatever)
3) the majority of all active CS (>50%) must vote on a member being considered a shitposter, voting takes place over 24h
4) new LR shitposters are given notice by a CS member and congratulated(?)
* the same procedure is the same for promoting/demoting members between ranks.
