It's been forever since I was on TL, but I got all nostalgic the other day after re-watching one of my old interview videos. Anyway, it'd be lovely to catch up with some of the crew from the old days if anyone is still around? :D
As for me, I've gotten a steady job now, moved to a new city, and have been with my lovely girlfriend for almost a year now. I still miss my old photography days, but keep busy photographing certain other things beyond pro-gamers.
I'm also active on the UK anime/sci-fi convention scene now, and am hoping to photograph cosplayers at some upcoming events (as well as running my first stall with my GF, and a workshop at a local convention in August).
I've been cosplaying a bit myself too. My latest project (still a WIP) is the Light Woman from The Evil Within's 1st DLC. I can't walk in heels, or see anything but the floor in it, but it's been fun to make.

Anyway, hi to anyone who still remembers an old fart like me from back in the SC:BW days. I want to hear what everyone else has been up to :D

Anyone from the old days knows your incredible work. Miss it! Maybe we can see some of your more recent photography? What are you focusing on these days?

Hey! I'm glad to hear you are doing well, be sure to check TL more often

Do you buy the dolls like that or do you paint them?
Edit: Would you mind spoilering the images so it's easy to collapse them? <3

Thanks Disciple :D I'll try to get a bit more involved from time to time :D
@Psyonic_Reaver ~ You can buy them either way. Some people get them painted by the companies which make them, some buy them to paint themselves, and some (myself included) get them painted by artists who do commissions specifically for these types of dolls. A lot of my friends in the community are talented face up (the term for painting their faces), artists, so I usually commission them. I also bought most of my dolls second hand, so they came with face ups already done. They're super customizable, so you can change a lot about them including their paint jobs easily.

the hair on those dolls are AMAZING. the faces also look anime, yet 3D. pretty cool. I wouldn't mind a Stork/Jaedong ball jointed doll.
Anyways, are you following SC2?

Your pictures helped make the proscene real, with real people and real places. More than just games. That inspired me enough to bother to go all across the world, just to visit places like iPARK mall. Totally worth it. So thanks for humanizing it all.

Thanks again for taking me to Comic World!
Any chance you'll be going to MCM London in a few weeks?

I remember a lot of your progamer pics back on my alternate that are so memorable!
Your current photography is upholding your standards though, the dolls and cats are great shots! Hope you'll maybe start a photo blog on TL, even if you don't remain as active with the BW scene anymore

Thank you :D I shall. I'm not cosplaying to three events this year, all in different parts of the country. So, hopefully that means I can finally take some photos :D

Thanks ~ I always try to buy them higher quality faux fur wigs because they photograph so nicely, and are easily styled. Actually, there's a company which does casts of celebrities for these types of dolls. I know I've seen ones for people like Sherlock, the guys from Supernatural, Loki, etc.
I have to admit that I've not kept up with it even before I left Korea. I am a bad fan T^T

Thank you :D I'm so happy to hear that they played a part in you having those experiences ^_^ One of my main goals during my time working in eSports was to enhance the coverage of the human aspect of the whole scene as opposed to focusing upon game play.

You're welcome ^^ It's still probably the thing I miss most about living in Seoul T^T Actually, I am! I'll be running a stall with my girlfriend there. It's our first time to attend.

Thank you ^_^ I don't really get so many chances to take photos recently, but I'm trying to get back into shooting regularly. I'll have to see about doing the odd photo blog post from now on. Hopefully, attending conventions will give me more images to share ^_^

I'm not sure where we'll be yet (my GF has organized it with another friend), but I'll be dressed in a Minnie Mouse inspired outfit so we should be pretty easy to spot.

Cool, I'll keep an eye out. I'll be wearing TL clothing of some kind although that might not be so unique any more

Heya! Glad to hear you're doing well.
I'm really grateful for all the pics you took back in the day.
Have fun cosplaying!

I am a bad fan T^T I recently started to follow the scene again and it was tough at first. Lots of unfamiliar names, but the "greatest SC2 players of all time" articles helped me figure out what I had missed and what is currently going on. http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/starcraft-2/482762-greatest-players-of-all-time-part-1
If you have time the proscene is actually really interesting but yeah, things have changed a lot since Wings of Liberty. Anyways, this recent game is pretty awesome and may help increase some interest for SC2. https://www.youtube.com/embed/XjdRePCtJJY
