Now I'm at my apartment in Beijing, and my Internet here is too crappy to even play a "Practice" game. Are there any other Beijingers playing HOTS, and if so, where did you find an Internet connection good enough to play?

On topic: I've been living in China for almost two years now and internet is so slow and the internet blockades fuck so much up that I pretty much given up on doing anything online that takes slightly more MB per second. However we both know that there are a lot of LoL and DOTA players so maybe you could try to seek one of those guys out.

If you want to play games you have to do it on Chinese servers. Is there a way to do this in HOTS? I don't know enough about how Blizzard sets up the game to know if this is possible.

You have to buy it separately (its not the SE Asia one). Not sure on the cost, should be pretty cheap i think. You could also try playing on SE Asia servers, that works pretty well in Dota anyway... Haven't played sc2 in ages, but did play the Chinese version in the first couple of months the WoL was released. Worked pretty well for me back then and no lag at all.
