True that. But basically if he is having a good game = team wins, if he is not, chances is that team will likely to lose anyway (50/50 chance depends on opponent makes mistakes).

Black^ covered it in his HotBid interview. There were 3 weeks when they split up and weren't at the teamhouse and weren't practicing. Then, when they were denied by the US Embassy, they were despondent and demotivated for about 2 more weeks. According to Black^ he's headed back to Germany for a month after TI to see how the reshuffle goes...I hope he winds up with a good team.

Have you seen that how badly he played support back then TI3 early stage (badly as in how he literally forced #4 puppey enig to buy all the wards and shit, all he focused was on how to make flashy plays), dig out the LR threads and see how many people flamed the shit out of him. He has become a top class support since then (the process of fighting their way back up to grand finals really shaped him quite well and then he has been performing consistently since). Bonus point since he can use oldschool heroes very well (like lion).

Certain item choices at the beginning of the game are definitely decided upon by the players in general. While it might seem like bad support play from KKY or even MMY/Lanm to not buy wards (and have Burning do so instead), it kinda looks to me like a decision made by whoever is calling the shots in-game (Puppey for Navi, and either Lanm or Burning for DK).
I recall a game where MMY was actually pinging out to Burning where to place the wards, so it's def. something DK has decided to do occasionally, and I don't think you should fault support players for being "greedy" in that case. It's just how they decided to distribute the burden at the beginning of the game, for whatever reason.
