I was doing some ground work on the game design of one of our future game, reading a lot about Celtic mythology.
In the "Voyage of Bran" I was reading peacefully and the story was going approximatly like this:
We are just at the first battle of a war. Our hero was called by a hag who got screwed by the king over some cattle... Hero pulls half of the country and here we are reading about the battle.
And suddenly ( as someone would stumble over ninjas, thousands of them here on Teamliquid):
Then Fiachna assembled the nobles of Ulster until he had ten equally large battalions, and went and announced battle to the men of Lochlann. And they were three days a-gathering unto the battle. And combat was made by the king of Lochlann [35] on the men of Ireland. And three hundred warriors fell
by Fiachna in the fight.
Yeah, quite a hero, kills 300 guys... All seems normal, the story even to this point was quite clear...
but let's see how the battle unfold.
And venomous sheep were let out of the king of Lochlann's tent against them, and on that day three hundred warriors fell by the sheep, and three hundred warriors fell on the second day. and three hundred on the third [5] day.
Ok... Now, I turn to my friend google, if I am not catching some hidden meaning but the only mentions I found are referring to the same text.
Should I be scared if I see a tent that it might contain venomous sheep? Help me! What are they and how do you get rid of them an army of giant-slayers???

I love how wonderfully overused are the number symbols. The lucky 7, when guys have sons, they have 7, 17 or even 27! (No one cares about how many daughter someone gets right?)
You also see the number three, repeating on every occasion.

I would be careful. They say that those things are on par with king cobras. Their venom paralyzes then kills in quick time. They are lucky they only lost 300 a day. Legends say whoever owns the venomous sheep usually wins the battle so I guess you know the outcome of the story before you continue reading. Just hope that you never encounter them ... ever.

hmm. I'm guessing the first part still means fighting the sheep then since the last part said it as well?
