Closing The Door On People

Today after class I was in a hurry to get home. I take this thing called a light rail which is basically a combination between a train and a bus. The next one was coming at 3:30 and I was on the 5th floor of the building at 3:25. The funny thing is it says it comes at 3:30 but it will actually get there a few minutes earlier like 3:27. It's happened a few times I see the rail car passing by the front entrance of the building and I have to run at full speed just to catch it. So anyway I was on the elevator and it was 3:26. I had to be down at the front door in a minute, maybe a minute and a half at tops. All of a sudden I see these girls getting on the elevator, and most girls usually travel in packs, so there are like 6 girls who get on after me and they all crowd the front of the elevator. Totally unaware that I'm in a hurry, these girls keep the elevator door open for anyone who feels like coming in. There is a guy maybe 10 feet away who is limping in crutches and the girls immediately notice him and try to help him get in the elevator. In a fit of rage, I start pushing some of the girls in a desperate attempt to exit the elevator and get to the stairs. In doing so I almost bump into the crutches guy and make him fall over. As I'm running to the stairs I notice the crutches guy is following me and probably expecting me to keep the door open for him in the 30 seconds it will take him to finally get there. I run as fast as I can and exit the building and I see the rail is already 30 seconds in front of me, I I realize even if I run at full speed it will close the door on me and take off before I can get there. Then I realize what I must do to rectify the situation and prevent similar situations from ever arising again: I must close the elevator door on girls.

I thought this was gonna be about severing ties with people in your life.
