I was a huge metal head in high school and cut my hair to get a job over the summer of my junior year. At first I really resented it, but as I grew up and my music taste sort of expanded I guess I kind of gained an understanding of it. My hair was considerably longer and more unwieldy than the hair in the photo you chose to illustrate its length so its not a direct comparison I suppose.

It is sexist. Women are allowed to have hair of any length/style (long, medium, short, straight, wavy, curly) while still maintaining professionalism but men are expected to have short hair and no facial hair. Women also have much more variety in terms of professional clothing compared to men and enjoy wearing low cut outfits which accentuate their cleavage, feminine bodies, and display indecent leg exposure, not to mention high heeled shoes which emphasize a woman's feet, legs, and buttocks

high heel shoes piss me off, and I dont get the deal with legs any way.... they're just legs :/

This is something to bring up with the employer. If they want you, they'll be willing to negotiate. This is a stipulation on a contract just like wages or benefits.

In likelihood, they will allow you to keep your hair, but will at the same time require you to maintain a professional image that conforms with their dress code, in spite of the hair. This may mean keeping it slicked back or in a ponytail, or shaping it in a way (medium length sides and back) that doesn't bring attention to its length.
