I’ve been thinking about this for a long time (at least the past 20 minutes since waking up).
First, let’s go back go back to the Bible to see where the world started. You have this guy Moses who apparently can part seas yet he’s definitely not a mage? “Moses Medivh was the last Guardian of Tirisfal, an ancient line of protectors bestowed with great powers to do battle with the agents of the Egyptians Burning Legion.”
Then you have this guy Jesus. Gets all famous because someone caught him do a daily H2O to C2H5OH transmute. Then after that someone sees him using one of his class spells. Ever wonder how he travelled around the Greater Jerusalem Area so quickly yet always managed to get back to Jerusalem? Let’s just say there are quite a few inns in the city. Definitely a coincidence that Gul’dan and Medivh knew each other and this water parter and wine maker end up in the same book right?
Now, maybe you’re a symbologist who met a super hot girl who works at CERN while battling the Scarlet Crusade Priory of Sion, Kirin Tor Illuminati*, or the Dark Iron Dwarves Freemasons and you’re stupid little brain can’t comprehend that the world is 4000 years old. Maybe you think Dinosaurs weren’t tricks from Sargeras Satan, and that that there was this Pyroblast from space that hit them on turn 8 after getting rushed down to 10hp. Well let me bring to your attention Un'Goro Crater. Tar everywhere? Check. Vibrant green plant life like Jurassic Park? Check. Dinosaur bones? Check. Dinosaurs? ALSO CHECK. Escort quest and other video game reference? Check check. But how can you prove that it’s as old as the Dinosaurs you say? Well if you go in the Caverns of Time it’s not there because it didn’t exist yet (also, coincidentally, you have to defend Moses Medivh while under the influence of Sargeras Satan. Why else would he trick the Jews into building the pyramids before saving them?).

That is not the only reason why this is silly. (The author knows it is silly, but he's making a point).
I would give a shit if it was true that people will be tortured forever after dying, but I would also give a shit about an infinite amount of other "possibilities" that are just as bad, which also have no evidence, but no way to be disproved.
However, clearly, I can't take every possibility in to consideration, since there is an infinite amount of them. So until there is evidence for something, or reason to suspect something, I won't believe it.
