See here's the situation. I could arrange to see the younger girl outside of work but like I said she is very judgmental and probably won't like it if I'm wearing heels because it's not a very manly thing to do. I could possibly wear heels around the older woman because she won't judge me anyway but she is married and her husband is this 6'2" mean tough guy who could probably shove a foot up my ass if he wanted

Honestly I would say go with the younger girl. There's a lot of older women out there, just pick one who doesn't have a husband. But go with the younger girl because from what you have posted you sound like you're lacking experience.

Then once you hit your late 20s and forward it's going to be a man's market anyway. Then you can pick someone long-term.

So it sounds like the older woman is just being nice and acting motherly towards you. I'm not sure you'd like that relationship if it got more intimate. Idk about you but living with a mother figure for too long is too much for me.

I say go for the younger girl. All you really need to do is step your game up a little, let her in on some of your secrets and insecurities, and maybe she'll stop judging you or get over it. It might even be a good thing that she's judging you. Maybe she'll succeed in her attempt to "change" you into the kind of man she thinks about every night. Never know.

This says to me that although you feel a bit more drawn to the 42-year old, it is probably simply weighted more due to her unattainable / taboo qualities. If she were to say, get unmarried and lose the kid and become attainable, would you like her less than the 22-year-old? I think so. I think that if you look at it from Paul Graham's perspective, your opinion about what's more admirable / attractive is being influenced by prestige / taboo. If the two seem equal to you, you probably have more genuine admiration / attraction for the less prestigious / taboo one.

Alright NeuroticPsychosis, since we're such good friends and all, your ol' buddy Epishade is gonna help you out here. You say you're attracted to older women are you? Hey, who isn't amirite? Nothing wrong with that. My grandma's lucky that there are men who like mature women (I just hope her hip replacement lasts this time). There's a small problem with your current situation though. This older woman is married and has a kid. Now, like any holy connection to god, that marriage wasn't meant to last. Not with you making your moves on her anyways. But kids are another thing entirely. This kid is too young to be shipped off to military school so you can enjoy some alone time with her. You'll have to convince her to send her kid away to a remote mountain village in the Alps. Now I know this may seem impossible at first, perhaps even immoral. How on Earth can you break the bonds between a mother and her child? As knowledgeable as I am on the subject, I have not found a solution to this problem. You will have to either spend your life raising a child that you know isn't yours, or nail the hot black lady.
