Today, I was fortunate enough to be featured in a cover story article in a local newspaper known as the OC Register. The article covers the current research being done in how video games support education and learning. I was interviewed by the writer at the Irvine BarCraft during the WCS America grand finals, and she also talked to various other esports fans (GHOSTCLAW, leafeator, and gary) as well as the BarCraft organizer (CableSC) about our involvement in gaming and ESPORTS. The article says I'm 27, but I'm actually 23 (oops).
The majority of the article is a brief overview on how games play a role in developing problem solving skills through gaming activities that a learner may find more relevant to their interests and be more engaged. I also had to do a silly photoshoot.

I too am from OC, didn't catch this. Thanks for posting, and I will try to start attending these barcrafts, getting rather tired of my friendbase lately. When is the next one?

Solid article. Unfortunately, the author does not underline the fact that there were two Starcraft games so far and just calls them both "Starcraft". People of no knowledge about the history of the game may start thinking it was SC2 that had Berkeley classes and that the current state of the game is solely a result of the initial SC2 success, not the partial inheritance of the fanbase.
Although this is a very general article about learning process more than game details, so you could expect things like that.
