Firstly, I am updating the "days" in the sense that any Day that I get to sit down and practice TheCore, I'll be posting about it. But I have a job, wife, and kid so I don't get to play every day. So the "Days" are just "Days of Practice with TheCore".

So on to TheCore. As I was training, I noticed I had a problem with Ctrl+Shift+0. I could never get it to work no matter how hard I tried. But the game would allow me to set it as the Create Control Group setting. Apparently, that is bound by Windows to "switch language". So to ensure that your hotkeys work, you should follow the instructions at

I did some basic Katas and a few practice games vs the Hard AI. Pretty easy to win but I'm just trying to do better with my macro and hotkey movements for my army. My APM is still staying around 120ish but seems to be slowly moving up. More importantly to me, all of my APM actions are "effective" in that I'm not really spamming anything anymore. (no time with trying to learn my hotkeys and camera keys). I'm finding problems with the "j" and "i" cameras used for chronoing stuff.

One thing I did try was to move my "center on unit" to space as I hated not being able to hotkey and I figured "I never use this". In my first game, I wanted to use it to get back to my robo I forgot to camera position hotkey... And it was harder do to because it was on the thumb.

These guys have thought of everything!

Anyway, no new Katas today. I'm just learning with what I have.
