I tend to like talking and I'm currently bored out of my mind. Saw this idea, liked it a lot, want to try it out. I'll be answering questions... let's say for a week or until I want to, maybe this will not get any responses in the first place, lol.
So... go?

I am mustaju, a TL Brood War staff member. I've been around since 2009, so I assume some people might have questions.

EDIT: I left specifiying who I was vague on purpose, so as to not steer the conversation in any direction.

Did you follow TLS season 1? Will you write for TLS season 2?
Are you playing BW, and if so when will you enter the next Gem League/ThSL?
When you're not working/studying, what do you do in your spare time?
Last question, are you reading anything currently?
Because when you left, Brood War was all spotlights and titans. Now, with the death of the big leagues, Brood War has moved to the basements and carparks. Now, Brood War is unlicensed brawls, lost teeth, and bloody fights for fistfulls of money - SirJolt

I followed about half of it, whenever I did and didn't have time. I think I learned enough to help write for TLS season 2. I am not playing BW because I don't know the password of my ancient router, which is kinda needed for Iccup, but once I exchange it (should be in a month), I should be able to horribly suck at it again.
In my spare time I watch movies, play quite a bit of DOTA 2, watch SSL and SRT-s, and lately I've been listening to a lot of electro-swing and a bit of classical music. And I'm about to finish the 5th Game of Thrones book. There might be more, which I might edit in later if a question inspires me.

Hate the term, honestly. I do like competitive gaming, but people are forcing it way too hard to be something it isn't at the moment, and the disillusionment will eventually come, if you ask me. An ideal scene would be the one BW had in 2007, with a niche but well known and informed audience, high local interest, and great games tying them together. I do enjoy watching BW and DOTA 2 tourneys at the moment, but I've rarely used the term E-sports outside of an ironic context.

My custom icon would probably be a black brain, because that's literally what my name means. I've had the nickname since I was about 14 for smartmouthing older kids who had no idea what they were talking about. I loved the personal irony it entailed, and hence kept it ever since. It's also pretty unique, and always available.

He was pretty much the first player I ever got invested in. I saw him use his units really creatively at times, and bonded with him ever since. His MSL title probably also helped. Researching him was fun, and while I love all the STX members, Calm will probably always be my favorite for his constant attitude towards practising, unique look (even though we can all agree he looked WAY better with glasses), and for his being best pals with my second-favorite player, Kal.

I'm afraid I didn't write the recaps, those were Kiante's work. I do still follow a bit of amateur BW though, and I hope to contribute for TSL 2. Have heard good things about HOTS, but haven't been interested enough to check it out.

When the Ultimate weapon loads up the incinerator round and figures out SC2 to the extent that noone will be able to match his prowess. There will be much despair, if that happens, but an evil will be no more.

It's all about the passion for people like the BW writers. No BW writer gets any monetary compensations for putting in hours upon hours of work, but at least for me, it made sense. Why? Because you can give back something to the scene that has provided you with countless hours of entertainment, gripping drama, and some of the highest highs and lowest lows I have experienced. BW was and for some still is, that special for the BW staff. And you guys are. Because sharing this passion would mean nothing if I didn't know that it might make that match just a bit more awesome for someone out there.

There are some advantages, however. TL staff are pretty universally awesome people to hang out with in chat. Tree.hugger even came to visit me here in Estonia. As for the forum privileges, I seem to get quoted a lot more since I got my pen, as if my opinion suddenly matters more (even in topics not related to BW), and I feel pretty proud about having contributed to this community.
I love TL staff. Even the SKT fans.

What is the muscle ?
If i were to create my own religion and name it "church of tsundere jesus", would you be among my followers ? What if i named it "supporters of the spaghetti god" instead ? Which one of those would get me more followers ?
Do you even socialism ?
What if clam swapped to terran for no apparent reason ? Would that turn your world upside down ? If so, what would happen to you ? Would you just freefall to the edge of space ? What would happen to the earth and the rest of the universe ? Would the earth and the sky just swap places ? Would we then end up living inside a "ball" of earth, without light ( earth we walk on would block sun rays ) ?
Can you take a picture of something you see ?

Do you even socialism ?
What if clam swapped to terran for no apparent reason ? Would that turn your world upside down ? If so, what would happen to you ? Would you just freefall to the edge of space ? What would happen to the earth and the rest of the universe ? Would the earth and the sky just swap places ? Would we then end up living inside a "ball" of earth, without light ( earth we walk on would block sun rays ) ?
Can you take a picture of something you see ?

1)The muscle is the part of the drug cartel that deals with getting money from clients who are late. Rather uncommon occupation here, but some have found their calling in life.
2) Probably not, I have certain religious views, and my views to our metaphysical existence don't have much a lot of space allocated to either tsunderes or jesus. You might have trouble with copy-writing the spaghetti god supporter group, since, you know, pastafarianism. I'd wager the tsundere jesus demand is slightly higher/more open to religious revolution, so go for the former anyway.
3) I was part of a libertarian political party for about 5 years. I'm fairly not socialist by Estonian standards, although some Americans have called me that anyway. The political spectrum is very much related to your current viewpoint. Until specification of "socialism", I'll go with no.
4) Calm playing BW Terran? I would probably instantly jog for a few miles because I'd be so excited. Calm playing BW in any form would make me happy enough to power through a hundred essays. He started his carreer playing Terran, you know.
Calm playing SC2 Terran? Couldn't care less, to be honest.
As for the world turning upside down, that constantly happens. It's called rotation. I've heard vague talk about theories that there's a possibility of me freefalling to the edge of space randomly because chaos theory physics is scary, but I'd probably die far before I could provide empirical proof. If that happened, everything would remain pretty much the same, but I'd probably start liking Fantasy for some weird reason in my last moments, no idea why.
5) I don't actually own a camera, and never allow pictures of myself to be taken. But I can send you pictures others have taken of places very close to me.
I live next to this building:

it's an abandoned foodstore, which used to be the center of economic activity of this part of town just 10 years ago. Now it's roof is occasionally visited by teenagers who like getting wasted on top of it.

this here used to be a soviet bunker, which was turned into a night club, which was turned into a roleplaying centric youth center where I worked. Now, because we didn't have money to repair the old rotting structure, it is a health hazard to be there. Some weirdo wanted to store plants in there last I heard.

Not really. I haven't followed HOTS yet, though, and might some day try to give it a new try. I still beam when I see that Bogus and Last are doing well, since I loved them in BW, but I haven't seen 10 games they played in SC2. For the same reason, I can't give you any real least favorite players.

Fairly good this last week, thanks! Honestly, I've rarely felt this energetic for such a long period of time. Nothing too positive happened, just the snow is finally starting to fade.

Ah but see, that's the point with that spaghetti monster guy. Since "god" ranks above "monster", i could prolly hijack some followers, but now that i think about it jesus also has plenty to steal. I can't afford to build up my religion, i gotta max out on followers quick!
Keel or tankjr ? Ryu or ken ( or dan ) ?

Well, if you ask me, the monster part is the great appeal of pastafarianism. Many follow gods, but how many follow monsters? There's a serious niche in the religious devotion department as related to out of the closet monsters. Maybe you could hijack Twilight fans? Some adoration borders on worship already, and I don't know of a registered Church of Edward. (although there is a Church of the Vampire!)
Not entirely sure what you mean by Keel or tankjr, so I'll say tankjr because mini-tanks are awesome. As for the Street fighter question, never played the games, but I like the idea of Dan based on the lore I read. A super-weak character is the ultimate humiliation tool.

I really liked the first 3 seasons of House MD, although it got a bit formulaic after a while, the ethical questions raised made the show very enjoyable.

Well this is an "ask anything" thread so I'll bite:
A transfer matrix G(s) is decomposed into G(s) = U(s)M(s)V (s), where M(s) is in
Smith-McMillan form and is given by M(s) = E(s)*Psi(s).
How to prove that E(s) and Psi(s) are right-coprime?

Damn you! You actually made me look at math papers for the first time in years.
Believe it or not, I even tried to recruit a friend who has a PHD in informatics and computer sciences and has been looking at higher mathematics for years to give you a more satisfactory answer, but considering he had no idea, I suppose you expect me to make the answer funny somehow.
If my years in academia have taught me anything, your solution probably relies on the D'hondt modifier. Everything eventually comes down to that.

Anyway, since I'm studying linguistics nowadays, I recently learned about the Estonian word "jäääär". Have you ever used this word in conversation? And are there any other similar words with an elongated vowel sound? Sadly, jäääär is the only Estonian I know. Estonian seems to be a very interesting language!

The D'hondt modifier is the number of parties remaining after an election where the d'hondt system of allocating votes has been used. Technobabble is a great counter for technobabble! Especially if the answer is non-sensical.

Happy birthday!

I wouldn't call it an addiction, but I do crave for it every other day. I drink peppermint tea every other day and that usually satisfies my craving.

Oh, there's a few. there's "kuuuurija" (moon researcher), "töööö" (work night), "veeeelistus" (water preference).
Out of these, jäääär (ice edge) has been used most commonly by me, since I once made a presentation in history class about the Antarctic explorers.
My favorite word in estonian to make non-estonians try to pronounce it is "Korstnapühkija" (the 4 consonants and the ü are awesome.). The word itself means "chimneysweep"."Süüa" (to eat) is pronounced differently than it is written, which is completely exceptional in the estonian language, and there are 14 cases, but no genders. Wrap your head around that.
There's also an estonian band by the name jäääär! (I know the video says jääboiler, but they have renamed themselves about 3 years ago) http://www.jaaaar.eu/

I don't know how much the Sonic events compensate for you. I miss it a lot, but having the SSL makes it a lot better than it was before. The TLS was awesome too. I know it's still far from PL quality, but that is more of a situational pain for me nowadays than a constant gaping hole in my heart that existed before I knew much about the Korean amateur-scene.

DUDE I drink peppermint tea almost every other day too! But with honey in it. Hi5 man for having similar great taste buds. I however, like to cut my nails so short to the point they almost bleed. Absolutely hate the feeling of long nails.

How interesting, very interesting!! I would so put "kuuuurija" on my business card if I could. And I am going to try to use "veeeelistus" in everyday speech, just to be a linguist hipster snob. It's kinda hilarious how Estonian stretches out the vowels in those particular words in such an exaggerated manner though. I am so going to show off these new words to my friends and professor, kudos to you.

Edit: Oh wait I just realized... They're not elongated vowels! They're compound words, words put together to form another word, but they sound like an elongated vowel!! My mind just exploded. So I'm guessing that if you see 4 of the same vowel together, it's usually in a compound word? Are there any non-compound word elongated vowel words though?

"Korstnapühkija", that doesn't sound bad compared to various African and native indigenous people around the world's dialects, where you get clusterfucks of consonants stuck together sounding like a trainwreck. (No offense to those who speak indigenous dialects, but man you gotta admit, if you had more vowels in your consonant-heavy language, it'd sound a lot more prettier to the general public.) And how would you pronounce "süüa"? Like [soo-ah]? And even more interesting, 14 cases!! A refreshing change from the typical masculine/feminine/neutral pattern in some languages... Looks like I'll have to take a look at Estonian more in the future. :O

And that band's not bad, sung Estonian sounds quite interesting! I thought it would sound maybe a bit similar to Russian as well, but nope, definitely more like Finnish. The lyrics of that song are extremely poetic as well. And as expected, they sure like to sing about their snow and cold and nature themes, haha.

Ahhh okay, I'm only a little disappointed. But still, jäääär is an epic word. I will need to look up Estonian swear words later.

Ahhh okay, I'm only a little disappointed. But still, jäääär is an epic word. I will need to look up Estonian swear words later.

"Persse" would be "fuck"
"Vitt" would be cunt
"türapea" would be dickhead. Go wild!

Do you play Go?
What skills do you wish or plan to learn, but haven't started learning yet?

I played chess for a while, but go I never got the hang of. Maybe in the distant future when I feel like I have more control over my thought processes.
2) I'm not a very goal oriented person. It's one of my major flaws. If I had to name anything, I'd probably say I want to learn a new degree of finnish and russian, but I have started both of those.
Oh, now I know. Swing dancing is something I want to learn but haven't yet. I love the aesthetic of the prohibition era, and the dancing is a major part of it. And a bit of coding in C++ would be awesome to learn as well, considering how high in demand programming is in Estonia.

Thanks for the swears! I called my friend a vitt today, and felt like a badass when I explained to them that it was cunt in Estonian.
How to pronounce the name: "SPY-ka" | Proud to share the same birthday with Shin (神) Dong Won and the almighty BoxeR | 리쌍도 나무에서 떨어진다. | To YellOw: "2位じゃダメなんですか?" ㅋㅋㅋ | Rest in peace, Violet. 08/23/12
