Just got my first in-season promotion from silver rank 2 right to gold rank 1. What a satisfying feeling after a day that wasn't seeming to be setting up to be so good. Who knew that all that talk about probes and pylons really helped eh?

Still got a long way to go to masters but am now really starting to climb the ladder for the first time since i got WoL a couple of months after it came out.

Man, if this makes me feel so accomplished (after a few seasons of sitting in low to mid bronze) i wonder what its going to be like WHEN i hit masters.

congratz! Most important is to improve your skill and don't put too much attention onto the shiny league badge :p

Hey! That shiny makes me play better, because of the 'I'm in a higher league that means i have to play better!"

To be honest, the skill range right at the borders of the leagues is really low. Hardly anything separates high silver from low gold. This should be evidenced by the fact that you had to beat many people in gold (low gold) to get that promotion.
