Do some push ups when you feel like raging, that'll get that energy out. That's probably why Idra is so jacked now.

Pull ups bro, seriously that would make you so ripped if after 1 loss you did the equivalent of 10 pullups per loss. I think that running for 10 minutes (a 10 minute mile) after every loss would really teach you to not get angry, and make you really in shape in the process.

This happened to me a lot, too, especially in Starcraft 2. I came to the conclusion that I was just too competitive to enjoy myself and took a long break. Hell, I even rage-quit on Ranshin once, which made me feel awful.
But, if you don't want to take a break, you should find something to beat up when you lose, like a punching bag. Or you could get one of those squeezy stress toys. That would probably do the trick.

If you are doing the pushups here is a good resource: http://www.hundredpushups.com/week4.html#sthash.hLgCevVv.dpbs
Back when I played SCII I had the same problem. Focusing less on the game(i.e picking up other activities/sports) and taking out my frustration on myself by working out were 2 methods that helped control it for me.

Realize that BW, SC2, LoL and all the other games out there are just that: GAMES. They're meant to be played for fun, unless you're a pro/semi-pro. For the longest time I was stuck in mid-masters (SC2), and I was desperate to get out and got pissed off easily; I raged after every loss, I would BM, Fantasy GG timings, you name it, I did it. And then I realized that I was taking the game way, way too seriously, and even though I'm incredibly competitive, I wasn't having fun anymore.

They're also meant to be won, because they are competitive games. Something just being a game doesn't mean people shouldn't take it seriously.
Though I agree with you, if you're not raging and stressing over games, consider if you're actually still enjoying yourself.

I'm beginning to think there is a correlation between LoL and anger problems, because it seems to bring out the worst in everyone. I think the path to world peace begins with shedding our society of the evil of LoL.

You don't have to stay calm. You just have to be comfortable with being frustrated.
|
I agree with Forcewater. Remember that frustration is a natural reaction, and just a temporary feeling.
For me, it is quite calming to identify why I lost a particular game. Even against proxy gates, 4 gates, and 6 pools... when you are in the mindset of improving and learning its a lot easier to move on.

I don't know about you but when i got really angry playing SC2 when i was playing actively, i'll queue up to another game and the anger made me faster and better...
But when i lost during my "raging gaming process" i'll get so mad that i could break my mouse (god it was a death adder). Don't like pushups but sometimes i'll go for a run like someone suggest. I would run until i was calm down and playing another game when i come back (something casual like Emergency IV). Then... I'll queue another game in SC2

BW sometime can be unforgiving in the early game so builds are just terribly powerful. Not to so much with BW but rather SC2 ill just punch my bed a couple of times or walk around my house to punch something that is soft so I don't break anything important and not damaging my hand in the process
