Hello TL!
I have a backpacking hobby, and feel like at this point in my life I've been quite a few places. Over time I accumulated a lot of pictures of my travels, until taking the pictures themselves became a hobby, one I have a lot of fun with.
I started putting my pictures on a Flickr page, which over the years has become fairly large, or at least I think so. I've even been contacted by publishers before and a few of my pictures are now in travel guides, although I won't say which or in what guides because honestly if I don't it sounds more impressive than it is. I've never made any money off of such things, though I would like to!
I also enjoy tricking people into looking at my pictures, and that is more the purpose of this blog. I hope you guys will enjoy it. I mostly take pictures of landscapes, architecture and food, though there are some other things thrown in.
Just in case somebody wants to ask, none of the pictures on my flickr are edited or cropped in any way. At most I just rotate them and put them up. Should probably learn how to Photoshop these things some day. There are also no pictures in any way relating to TL or esports. So sad. Maybe some day.
Below are what I think are some of my best pictures, or at least some of my favorites. I ordered them from most recent to oldest, so you can see it get worse and worse as I get younger and younger and the cameras get crappier and crappier. I am currently using a Fujifilm FinePix T310.
If you like them, here's a link to the rest. Thanks! Enjoy.

Awesome pictures, I can definitely see the improvements over time. The Massachusetts pictures make me miss my New England home while the rest make me anxious for this summer when I'll be travelling all over too
How do you like to travel usually? Do you go alone and go to one country at a time?

you make me jealous. I wish I could travel as much as you have (do?). Nice pictures ^^

I've always traveled by myself, although I do tend to stay with friends wherever I can. Big advantage of being an internet nerd, having friends houses to stay at all over the world.
I did a 2 week England trip first (no pictures of that sadly), then a 2 month Italy-Greece trip, then lived in India for 6 months for college, then a 2 month Europe trip with the rest of those Euro countries, then a 2 month Southeast Asia trip.
Then by then I was having a lot of fun with the picture taking and started doing pictures of the US too, because I thought America was feeling left out of my flickr page.
Currently planning a tentative Mexico trip this summer. If I can afford it.

You're from Germany, you should know better than to say that travel is expensive.

I took a weekend trip to Dallas and took some pictures. Not much to add to the above, but I added a few anyway.

Wow those are some gorgeous pictures! You are very lucky

Warning, the last post in this thread is over two months old. If I bump this, I better have a good reason.
I did take some pictures though. Did some traveling around California for my birthday.

Wow, cool pictures! Love them all!
Btw, under Italy, some pictures have incorrect tags or w/e you call them.
Any plans on travelling in Central Asia?
|
Yeah I don't know what's up with that. The tags look fine when I go to edit the post, and they used to work. If you click the links it takes you to the picture.
I'd love to go to Central Asia. I had a trip planned for Iran a few years ago but my visa was denied and I ended up going to Europe instead. When I was living in India I had to sign an agreement with my college that I wouldn't leave the country (they was scurred), or I probably would have gone to Pakistan and Nepal etc, though that's really south Asia.
I think Afghanistan would be really interesting to visit. One of my best friends is a Farsi translator and goes there all the time and she's always bringing home fun stories. I suppose maybe that would be a little dangerous though. I guess.
Right now I'm contemplating somewhere in Central or South America this summer, if I can afford it.

Couldn't afford to go to South America for the summer sadly, so I visited friends in Maine instead.

Maine is quite beautiful!
Any plans on where you want to go next?
|
Well, I am in the middle of a Peace Corps application now, so likely wherever they sent me.
Right now I'm super broke and eating ramen for a little while, I just got back from Maine today.
