Since yesterday, I've been pounding in my head non-stop "WHY CYCLONE999 WHY". Why did I buy that object? I didn't need it. It was 15 seconds of fun followed by having it sit on the desk. The object, in question, was this:
The balls of my current sadness
The idea is that you throw it on the ground, or a wall, really hard, and it turns into a liquid mess, and then it'll slowly turn back into a ball.
"Well, that's just a ball, Cyclone999. It's rubbery and movable in your palm. Surely you must have spent 1.25 worse, right?" Yeah, I could think of a couple times I've spent my money worse (Dead Island comes to mind, I haven't even played it)... but this ball.... that black, soccer-patterened splat-ball... it disgusts me now.
Why? What happened?
I was on Skype yesterday, playing League of Legends with my friends (HEY, THIS WAS AFTER LIKE 6-7 GAMES OF STARCRAFT ) Making the team of 4 of my friends and I to crush our opposition. There were 4 people in the lobby- me and 3 other friends. While we were waiting for our 5th guy to finish dinner, I was pretty bored. I had been on Reddit that day and clicked nearly all the links I 'subbed' to (didn't sub, but check everyday) and had read everything I found interesting on Teamliquid.
I could've watched a stream. I could've drew a picture. I could've played with the yo-yo I bought two days ago. But instead, I just bounced the splatball around my hands, throwing it around while laughing at the lame jokes that I like to tell on Skype, or pronouncing my friends' name wrong on purpose. It was when I was laughing when I threw the splatball slightly hard on my wrist...and that very second, I realized:

3. My hands were over my Razer Black Widow Keyboard.
To summarize what happened about 2 seconds later:
My friends were oblivious what had happened, they were still laughing and I was completely in shock. Someone noticed that I wasn't talking, so I just said "uhhhh...uhhhh... water...explosion...water balloon...." then I left the call.
I tested the keyboard. It spammed random keys. It held random buttons. I unplugged it and shook the water out. Me, being stupid...plugged the keyboard back in. I think it short circuited. No idea. The light still turns on (the blue logo at the bottom) which makes me think otherwise, but keys won't press (at Windows login screen, it automatically opens the bottom right menu). Unplugged it. I don't know how to open my keyboard- unplugged the screws and stuff, but the top won't come off.
I slept it off, hoping that tomorrow morning it would be dry enough to continue working, but well, this is tomorrow morning, and it's not any better. I've been using my dad's Microsoft Digital Media keyboard and every time I press spacebar, it looks at me and says "no can do sir" resulting in stuck keys...ugh.
Maybe it's for me to finally realize that my keyboard is near unsaveable, or I'm secretly hoping that someone would read this and be like "HEY I HAVE AN EXTRA BLACK WIDOW, YOU CAN HAVE IT!"... which isn't going to happen. Maybe I'm looking for suggestions on my next keyboard. Or maybe I just want to express my feelings over the death of a very good friend. I know it was my fault. If I only didn't throw that ball. If I didn't buy it in the first place.
It was there when I got promoted to masters after 6 seasons of diamond. It was there when I discovered Paypal shopping. It was there when I bought a ton of Steam games, and it was there when I was playing them. It never let me down. I wanted to bring it to Korea on Spring Break and have the pros sign it. It was MY keyboard. It was my gaming pride (hearing my APM on skype = friends go :O ). It was my friend.
My parents are so asian though, if I told them I want a Filco (149.99 in Canada here, I like Cherry Blues) they'd laugh at my face. And I want to start saving my money for uni/college But yeah, I'm probably gonna buy a new one. Any suggestions?
Perhaps you should be a little more skeptical about the material quality of an object that costs less than a pack of Big Red before testing its capabilities directly over your keyboard.

Yeah. Unluckily for me though, I have many faults, one of them being common sense t____t
keyboards aren't THAT bad to replace with lesser ones. i think ur fine for now. i always wanted a good keyboard, but hey, i can live without a good one.
How is that ball supposed to contort back into a spherical shape after it's used if it's just a water balloon? Why would someone throw a water balloon against their wall lol. That's gotta be one of the worst product ideas I've ever seen.

It wasn't literally a water balloon. The OP was just making a comparison to explain just how shoddily the product was made (e.g. it was as durable as a water balloon).
Why don't you just spend your own money instead of asking your parents?
I'll put it this way. For my birthday, my birthday present is that they give me PERMISSION to buy something with my OWN money. And I don't have an income so I tend to try and save as much money as I could (eg. for big stuff like computer upgrades or lunches with friends and stuff), so spending 80 dollars is rough (can't wait till college, spending a dollar is rough xD)

It will hopefully be mounted on my wall or something, I still haven't done anything with it, I still believe that one day it will work again D:
one time had a desktop that stopped turning on. then my brother just pressed something in the bios an it turned on again after 4 years O_O maybe the same thing will happen to the keyboard
That happened with me to. I had a copy of ocarina of time for my n64 that got frozen in a freak snow storm. Didn't work but i still kept it cause it was a gold cartridge. Like 8 years later im cleaning stuff out and it works again.

Actually that is a good idea, some companies do awesome stuff like this and Razer seems exactly like that type of company to me.

i spilled water on my corsair vengeance k90 and first it started pushing random keys, then completely died same as urs, backlight would stll come on but the keys wouldn't work.
i ended up unplugging it and letting it dry for a couple days and then it worked fine again.
When I was really young - around junior high school - I accidentally spilled a drink on my laptop, moved to turn it off immediately but noticed everything seemed to be functioning normally. So I went "oh, it must be water-proof" and kept using it until it short circuited within 10 seconds.
UPDATE: As of 2 days later, I left my keyboard close to a heater. Over the past two days it must've dried out, because this morning when I tried it it worked! ITS ALIVEEEEEEEEEEEE The shift button and control button are a little sticky but all in all, it still works :D
Still the worst 1.25 I spent though, the past two days were so hard to deal with t_t
