I've been playing alot of Co-op RPGs with a friend recently, but we are about to run out of games to play, so I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions. I'm looking for a (preferably) Action JRPG for console. Being offline 2player is a must. Here is a list of games we have played/beaten, to give you an idea of what I'm looking for/what not to suggest cuz we've already played it:

Tales of Graces F
Tales of Vesperia
Tales of the Abyss
Secret of Mana
Seiken Densetsu 3
Phantasy Star Online (shitty co-op, meh)
Champions of Norrath (played a bit, friend didn't much care for it, meh)
Gauntlet Dark Legacy (meh)

I have Tales of Symophonia, but the camera for that is really bad for Co-op, so probably won't play it. Console wise, I don't have a Wii, so don't recommend me anything for it.

Hm, maybe try Eternal Sonata. It's definitely along the lines of the co-op action JRPs you've played.

I thought it was pretty fun and it has nice reviews though it didn't sell that well. ^^

I'll look into Eternal Sonata. I wish Tales of Xillia would come out faster in the US, lol. Its supposed to be real good, and would solve my RPG problem instantly.

Ah yeah...so many of the Tales series take forever to get released in the US

At least the NA releases tend to be quite good, but ~2 years on Xillia to be slated for a 2013 release, yikes.

Its ok the tales games take forever to play so it balances out.

X-Men Legends 1&2, and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1&2 are really good. I would also recommend Gauntlet Legends as well, it's much better than Dark Legacy.

Secret of Evermore is underrated. Someone has to not mind being a dog that has various forms throughout the game though.
Baldur's Gate 2 and other similar, you have not mentioned any of them.
Basically, way more games of the genre (low number multiplayer RPGs) need to be made! >

Screw MMO Elder Scrolls, make Co-op Elder Scrolls!
It's a shame.

I'm primarily a PC gamer, but here are some titles I've enjoyed:
Tales of Symphonia (played this exclusively coop), Neverwinter Nights 1&2 (played this with H recently), Borderlands 1&2 (played this with Southlight recently), Diablo 1&2.

Played Gauntlet Legends with friends when I was a kid and it didn't seem that compelling. I remember a lot of spamming some fire button and destroying endless monster spawns and spawners.

I played Eternal Sonata much more recently and I don't think I'd recommend it, though I did almost beat it. The art style, world design, and battle system are colorful and unique, but... actually I probably would've finished it were it not for some stupid optional dungeon right before the end that was too large for its own good.

I guess my main rec would be Tales of Symphonia, but if you pick a PC game (especially Baldur's Gate since I've yet to get around to playing that) let me know I might wanna play too

Ah man, I didn't think anybody didn't like Guantlet Dark Legacy. That was one of my favorite games on the PS2, wish they ported it to Xbox 360.
In any case, that was the one I would have suggested for an offline co-op game.

The camera doesn't even bother to follow Player 2 on screen for Tales of Symphonia, just Player 1. They could be off screen getting murdered, and they would have no idea whats going out, other than seeing their HP drop.
