So, this is just something I was to do. I've always wanted to do a blog and such, but I never played the game so blogging was pointless. But now that I'm back into SC2, I want to do these things.
So back when I was into SC2 last year, I was Bronze League. I played around 100 1v1s and never left Bronze. It felt so bad to think I could do better, but never really be able to do better. I always watched streams, watch the Daily, and practiced as well. But no matter how much I tried, I never left Bronze. I'm sure if there is anyone out there who has done the same, knows how bad it feels and makes you want to quit playing SC2.
It's been a year since all of that. I just did my 5 placement matches. I ended up placing Gold! I feel amazing. I feel even tho I just came back to SC2, I remembered enough to play well.

The feeling of all the work I did do last year, paying off, feels amazing.
Game 1: Victory TvZ (Bronze)
Game 2: Victory TvZ (Bronze)
Game 3: Victory TvP (Bronze)
Game 4: Victory TvP) (Plat) (Doesn't count tho. He insta quit game. He did it at least 10 games in a row :/ I finally got to play a high up player and didn't even get the game to really do anything)
Game 5: Victory TvZ (Silver) He was a good player, but I scanned the Spire being built and defended against it well. End game he tried for a ling run by (I didn't fully wall off my natural) but managed to keep him outside my main. My rally of Marines cleaned it up, and my main Army was killing his base.
I learned a lot in these 5 games alone. Upgrades mean everything. Expect cheese. And don't give up. Even if Mutas get into your base, and you lose a lot, keep playing and you can win. Upgrades and smart moves will have you win the game.

That is just a link to DL the games if you want. IF anyone has any tips for Terran let me know. I know to always make SCVs, upgrades and that. But I can't figure out when to expand/make more barracks. I love the MMM style. I don't want to try Mech till I can do Bio well. SO any tips would be amazing

grats man, some tips I'd recommend is learning a build, look at liquidpedia, find one you like and go for it. Do that for each match up till you can execute it in your sleep and you should advance to plat.

Playing pure bio needs quite a good splitting and multi tasking.
Scan ahead before you go too far deep, pre split is sometimes needed. Always charge up the marauders first so they can act as a barrier against fungal and banelings
The real splitting is a bit hard, you can either split the whole army OR just selecting the marines, move back, then split the marines.
It can be difficult if you don't get his third and lose too much of your army due to a baneling hit, suddenly you can't move out because you need to rebuild an army.
even if you have good advantage, a mis micro can lose a whole chuck of your army
You don't need god amazing micro for splitting, but you do need to make sure you can do the minimal splitting whenever possible, even if the army is gonna get killed.

Not to burst your bubble, but placement can often be misleading. For example, it is not unusual for the 5 placement to be other bronze players, and yet by beating a handful of them, be placed above bronze.
Do not be discouraged if consequent games lead to eventual demotion. The placement just has a nack of doing a bad job until a handful of games are played afterwards.

@ktimekiller I know that. Learned it from all the other seasons I played. That is why I was sad I didn't get to really play the Plat player. I went from winning Placement matches from past seasons and still going Bronze. There is a huge improvement in my play. I watched my games vs my old games, and I clearly see a huge improvement. But of course time will tell.
