Hello TL!
It's sunday, and sunday is laundry day!
Doing the laundry involves alot of waiting around, and so to entertain myself I decided
to try and create a blend between the Dota 2 logo and the Team Liquid logo. Because I'm nerdy
like that 
For some reason I always tend to turn these things into wallpapers, as I really can't find any
other use for them, haha!
So anyways, thought I'ld share them incase anyone else might enjoy them aswell!
Made in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. The thumbnails link to 1920x1800 verions.

I've re-worked the pictures a bit, incorporating some of your lovely suggestions!

Awesome job!
You could even mix the two colours, making the left "Dota" part red and the right "Liquid`" part blue or something. That way, there's an interesting contrast and both halves retain their original colour.

@KharadBanar: I was thinking of that aswell, but I'm afraid it would make it look more like the two seperate logos next to eachother rather than a merged one.
Will play around a bit more though

Turned out a bit better when darkening the blue and changing the angle of the gradient
Looks better in the real size than the thumbnail tho, lol.

I cringe everytime I see people using Bevel and Emboss.
Here's how you make it better.
- Remove the bevel and emboss
- Use the font that team liquid uses in their logo
- Use the background colour that team liquid uses in their banner
- Reduce background shadow

The b&e is to make it look a bit more like the Valve made logo that's not flat, but you're right it looks great
without it aswell. I'll add those versions too.
As for the background, it's the same colour, literally taken from the banner. Font, just about as close as you'll get.

I think the background being a gradient rather than a solid color would be a bit better. Nonetheless, great work!
